Do you mean variable ND? Kenko has just announced their own line of variable ND filters....not sure about pricing, as they haven't been released yet.

My 77mm Hoya HD CP showed up in the mail today, can't wait to try it. I wonder how wide I can shoot on my 5D before it shows up, think I can use 17mm?

Senna4ever 01-03-2011 10:39 PM

Is it a slim mount? If so, it should be fine.

Yah I've been hearing that the Singh ray is one of the best? My only filter at the moment is the b+w cpl. Been wanting an ND or gnd for water falls and stuff for daytimes!

There's been a b+w nd110 in 77mm mount being sold on craigs for quite sometime. Dunno if it had been sold already.

Its still being posted, mostly because its way overpriced. They are asking $180 for a used filter you can buy new for $83.50

there's a cool sepia mural on one of the new buildings @ the new water front area in North Van. although i did some HDR on this, it really is a giant sepia mural in real life.

Man... Look at all of those sweet hats. Sweet photo.
I've seen that before around North Van as well during the Olympics but forgot where its located. Somewhere near the dock where that giant ship from Russia was anchored?

Matsuda 01-04-2011 09:02 PM

that looks pretty wicked N.V.M.

This is sweet! Nice work. Do you know if the waves are fairly strong around that area? I'm assuming its false creek? The reason I ask... I'm looking for a beach that has some large rocks but I want the waves to be coming in and out hard. The best place for crashing like waves would be somewhere along the Pacific coast of Washington or Oregon and I don't really want to drive that far just to take a few photos but I am willing if necessary... when I purchase a bra for my car as I do not want any type of rock chips on my car's fresh paint!
Anyone know if there is something local? I'm thinking Iona Beach or perhaps Garry Point park?

Great photos everyone!

Ucluelet on Vancouver Island :)

Looks like I was right. I'll have to hit the Pacific coast in order to get my rock photo. I don't think there are large rocks and crashing waves like that around the lower mainland lakes and such. Maybe Britannia Beach/Porteau Cove in Squamish but I doubt that as well.
Maybe I'll have to take a mini road trip to Ruby Beach, WA.
