A few pics from a while ago, took them off of my hard drive and edited them last night. It was a trip to Cuba back in 2008. 2 days before the trip I got my first DSLR but I didn't bring it along but I really regret it :(. Shot with a Canon SD870

These people carry food, Laundry, rebarb, etc etc up and down the mountains/foothills.
They're also not a fan of photos so most photos are usually of their backs. lol

you know, only a page or two back there are 3 different posts with more than 3 pics(posts # 11145, # 11141, # 11139) and you didn't say a damn thing. nothing worse than an inconsistent rules bitch. is there a reason for singling me out? do you have a problem with my posts?

When did they make you the forum mod?

We haven't enforced that particular rule for a while - it was instituted by the previous moderator and he's long gone. I personally don't care, and I don't think Mana does either, as long as it's not 15 images in one post.

Calm down. I'm not a "mod" nor wasn't trying to be. It was a request, not a demand. Did I hand out points? Did I edit your posts? Am I unfailable? I'm sorry if the tone of the message was in the wrong way.


I pointed it out because it was super obvious on the top of this page bc it was two posts in a row. And I didn't notice all those posts you are mentioning. Senna, (the real mod) perhaps edit the "rules" on the first page then? I was under the impression we could only post 3 per day this entire time!

I'm not trying to enforce a apparent non-existent rule. So post away!

Hmmmm.....forgot about the rules written on the first page...after Doc left, Mana or I never enforced it, let alone give out points or ban. It takes a lot for us to give out points in the photo forum - I don't think I have ever done that in here. Posting too many images isn't worthy of that - besides, I like looking at other people's work. :) Just keep it within reason....I don't know....six-ish?

in my defense, it was cold and windy, i manual focused my Canon 10-22 with the viewfinder as it was too dark for LV, and i don't have a hood :(

Lucky guy! I've been eyeing that for a long time.. but can't seem to justify buying it before the 30mm 1.4 that I want just as much :(


do please post some pics from it (especially at the short end) when you get the chance. I haven't seen too many images from that lens at 8mm, and maybe if they're really good i'll put it at the top of my list :eek5x:

Mashimaro, those are wicked shots! The first one has a really cool ethereal quality to it, I love the rich colors. I don't mind the flare in the second one, it creates some drama (for me, anyway), and I love how Orion is aligned right at the top of the stairs. Great work!

Nice shots Mashimaro! I had to turn up my screen brightness after Soundy's comment, I didn't realize those were stars because my laptop screen is a bit too dirty.

About how long does it take to drive up there?
