Thanks! Some graphic design company in Australia who specializes in automotive magazines, brochures, flyers, stuff like that. I thought it was some joke or spam mail but I checked it out and it was for real. Purchased a photo with non exclusive rights of some silver polished pedals with a very dark background that I took years ago for $500 USD!! I was blown away as I thought I would get $5-10. Got me thinking about stock and microstock photography. Wouldn't hurt I guess? They're going to mail or email me a copy of the final print as a memento :p Quote:

lets see the picture that you sold! |
dude look above you............. I've sold a few but only in the 100-300 range... 500 is pretty good :) but they are probably using it for advertising that's why, usually costs more. |
if you ever see one of these, trust me, dogs don't just use the low one. http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...pupspeople.jpg |
^^^ Go through my flickr page and you'll see some silver polished pedals. That's the photo I sold. The graphic designer, named Ben, emailed me and asked for licensing. His company ended up purchasing the photo. I had no intention on selling it. I just got lucky I guess. I like my new lens. It's so much fun! http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5253/...93240d97_z.jpg The nostril and mouth look like a smiley face lol :) |
^The puppies above were shot with my 50/1.8 too... it's really sweet for very little money. |
Ya, much more bang for buck compared to the 400-500$ 1.4 version! |
Heres a shot from the game last night: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5053/...5a690734b8.jpg Shot from my seat with a 50mm. Shot was kind of boring so I processed the hell out of it. :) |
^ Sweet photo!! Is that the puck near his glove? Doesn't even look like he's prepared to catch it. Looks like he's in his "get ready for the face off stance" haha Quote:

literally the first shot i took with a dslr i made a bit of effort on any tips and pointers? i know its blurry and it was underexposed when i shot it :( anyway to make the image pop out instead of it being so dull? my wall's green is pretty dull :( http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._7799789_n.jpg before photochop http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4500883_n.jpg |
Since the background is fairly white the camera might think that it's bright. Try adding + exposure compensation. Maybe +0.7eV or 1.0eV. Did the focus points land on the can? It seems blurry. |
