Got some new gear to play with!

Cinevate's Pegasus Carbon rail system and their table dolly with articulating wheels.

About $1500 retail, I think. The steel rails are less expensive, but much heavier.

I think we looked into Kessler among others, but it was a bit too low end. We couldn't be sure if they would stand up to the abuse rental gear have to go through. Cinevate's CEO personally flew into Vancouver and gave a half day demo & training session of their products at Beau. Cinevate's products are designed well, and built like tanks. They are very well known in the cinematography world - I had no idea they existed until about 4 months ago.

I think there should be a rule, when you post epic scenic shots like those above, you have to post where it is, or you get points.

Yes, and I am enforcing this new rule retroactively. So, LiquidTurbo is banned for life. :(

from my N8 :) i've been playing around with the settings in the phone contrast/exposure

with these here i played around in photoshop still dont know what all the settings do so im just playing with the exposure/colour/brightness ones; i know the settings i used might seem a little excessive (if even i feel that way they must be) but i like how they turned out :D

^ would be better if you left a blank line between the photos so we could more easily see where one ends, and the other starts

Haha, I didn't even notice, thanks! Straight horizon is an absolute must in sunset shots!
