ps. please don't get so defensive and prissy when people joke around... that's why our meets are so much fun. We have inside jokes, and we all know that the others can take a little joke to have so fun. No need to throw a bitch-fit.

Excuse my french...

dub.dub 06-29-2006 06:21 PM

u suck at french! i don't see any :D

Rdk1 06-29-2006 06:24 PM

sorry about my over reaction. just because it's not about me but two of my best friends and i'm not sure if they would like such comments. i usually will be at FC and i get tons of jokes and disses so i sort of know.
about the focus, soprry i really had no clue about p&s' ability. i learnt photography through an old school manuel camera that uses film instead of digi-cam. either way, thanks for your advice.

Gopher, less talk and more shoot .. I haven't seen you post anything in a while

Gopher 06-29-2006 11:32 PM

Here's one... nothing special, just a snapshot plus some photoshop.

Admittedly, the dish is VERY distracting, the mess on the edges of it that is, but I didnt want to mess with the image THAT much.

Bingo. I do this on my DSLR a lot. Don't need manual focus to get focus right.

A word to the wise:

Let's keep in mind that everyone is at a different stage in their photographic pursuit; There are those that are only now beginning to pick up the camera, and others that view the camera as an extension of their mind--and a million others in between.

Let's not judge by our own standards, but guide on a general course of progression. The most helpful critique is one that recognizes an image's faults and its achievements.

Second one is a nice concept, should of used a faster shutter speed though

Meowjin 07-01-2006 09:05 AM

yup... I used 1/40. Should have used 1/100... thought it would kinda freeze the action.

Senna4ever 07-01-2006 09:50 AM

I do like the second one! You're getting better.

You could have used a faster shutter speed, or you can work on your panning technique. Cool shot, though.

I slept in WAAAY too late this morning... so I can't sleep right now.

Decided to play around with some new PS techniques I've learned.

Hey Len, I've been looking over a few of your photos and they're all way underexposed. Im wondering if your monitor is in need of calibration or if you're going for this effect (and if so why?).
