Finally had a chance to bust out my camera for the first time in months!
Found a cool old pickup on the Telegraph Cove boardwalk (wish I had brought more than my 50 1.8, good learning experience though):
I don't know where to display this but I hope you guys don't mind. I was at Buntzen Lake bike riding on one of the trails around the lake when I saw a black bear come out of the bushes!
The GoPro footage is obviously not great as the cameras lens is so wide angle you can't see anything unless you keep watching near the very center of the screen just off to the side of the gravel road. The funny part was she stared me down for a good three minutes as I hit the brakes and made a fairly loud skidding sound from all the gravel.
She had two cubs with her following a few feet behind so I turned around a few meters and watched from a distance. Waited a few before continuing but this is the second time I've seen a bear up close at Buntzen Lake. Last time was much closer a bit too close if you ask me. In person the bear I saw today was fairly big. I'm not expert but it seemed about 3 feet tall standing on all fours and about 4-5 feet long. I'm huge its super huge when its stands up on her two hind legs and roars! I'd be pissing my pants if that happened! haha
Anyways, enjoy the crappy footage. I'm sure someone has WAY better video and/or photos of their bear experience but I was not prepared to film this. I just caught it happening as I always strap on my GoPro when I take my bike anywhere. Would have been better if I could get much closer but I'm not taking that risk.

That's a wicked photo! That's pretty much something that I've been looking for, for a while now. One that is a bit smaller as well. I'm this is no where near the lower mainland but where is this waterfall anyways?

In Mount Rainier National Park. Just some random waterfall stumbled across during hiking...
