didn't realize there were so many water spots? on the metal :/ should have cleaned it when i took the pic

Went on a hike up to Deeks Lake yesterday. Carried all my camera gear, plus hiking gear, plus tripod. I am thinking my bag weighted 30+lbs as well.

I believe you pay a "deposit" which will cover all the fees, and if there's anything leftover, they'll refund it onto your CC - but I doubt there'll be anything left over. That said - not all manufacturers agree to cross border shipping - some restrict retailers to selling only in the US - you'll see when you try to check out if the lens you want isn't shipping to Canada.
If you want to ship to the US - ie Point Roberts or Blaine - you don't have to pay any tax/duty up front - but when you cross the border, you risk having to pay it at customs. Usually - they're lax on camera gear, but you never know.
