Hey Moky, how cold was Garibaldi Lake feeling, and how were the bugs up there/on the hike up?

the water was pretty cold even though ambient temp felt like 30c!
there were plenty of damn bugs in all sizes and they're pretty aggressive and fly straight up to your eyes and ears. and that's even with plenty of bug spray already

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. The water I can deal with, the bugs... I can't stand. Almost went up this weekend, but my friend was busy for today so I'm postponing my trip up there until early/mid September.

I may do an alpine touring ski trip up there this winter. If I do, I'm totally skiing across the lake to the glacier on the other side. ;)

yeah the water was fine, the bugs? hell i wish i had a bug zapper, those made in china tennis racket bug zappers u can buy in dollar stores.
