70-200 version II :)

Amazingly sharp thoughout the range at 2.8.

My version I f2.8 IS wasn't as sharp at 2.8.

70-200mm f2.8L IS II is a kick ass lens for sure. It works like magic on the 5DmkIII's AF system. I'm willing to go on record to say that the 5DmkIII's AF system is better at tracking than the 7D.

This lens is definately better than my version I! Minimum focus distance decrease is nice, focus is faster and the IS is pretty good at doing it's job (i can hand hold it at 200mm and 1/15 with this lens!).

damn Senna, i keep looking at the 5D3 but i just picked up my 5D2 a few months ago. I definately miss the 7D's AF system and speed though, as well as the ergos of the newer body compared to the 5D2.

definately recommend this lens as it's so sharp for a zoom, especially at 2.8!! i have not really stopped the lens down ever since getting it 2 weeks ago! here's some more pics from Central Park as well with the 70-200 II (all shot at 2.8 of course!) :)

professional reviewers have been saying that for quite a while now. don't Canon themselves even say that? ( i think your "record" is safe.)

Well, the thing with the so called professional reviewers on the internet is that not all of them know what they're doing. You have to take what they write with a grain of salt. Many of them don't write what exact settings were used, so to me, a lot of the reviews are useless. I'm not saying that I'm perfect in any way, but I'd rather go with practical knowledge instead of trusting what's written online.

Of course, you're reading my experiences on the internet, so feel free to take my reviews or opinions with a grain of salt, too. :D

^ A bit crooked for my liking. Tilt it left a bit more to get it more "straight"?

I was in Rome two weeks ago and got to try out my Tokina 11-16 on my D7000. Here's the low res version.

Leica AG (Auto Group?) is branching out into other business opportunities, apparently.

As seen at Main & 1st Ave.
