Sidenote: Canon's ISO ratings are rather conservative and their sensors seem to be slightly more sensitive than rated. i was able to use a higher shutterspeed on the Canon, under the same lighting condition and the same f-stop and ISO setting as the Nikons. Interesting.

My set up? Overcast skies, wasp lands on roof of car, say, "COOL!", grab camera, slap on macro lens, focus manually, press shutter release.

For the last picture, I wanted a sense of the wasp walking away from me, so I focused on its 'bee'-hind (HA!), but I got its leg and the tip of the wing. I liked the effect also, so I posted it. :)

The dust is from a dirty car roof!

oh wow. thought you caught it, froze it and then put it on a glossy piece of paper....d=

So your saying ISO 1600 canon is the same as iso 1600 on nikon?

Bonjour43MA 10-21-2006 07:54 AM

I'm saying ISO 1600 is more like ISO 1800 or 2000 or something like that with the Canon.

Salar, get rid of that dark spot on the top left rocks.

Nice pictures Ron, it's so hard to capture good moments with any sports. Question, when you look at actual NBA pictures why are they so much more whiter? Is it just that the indoor lighting is cheaper where you shot?
