^ haha well here' what happends.

In the winter, it drops below zero. When this happends, it is very possible for the water in the pipes to freeze. If that happends, they will bust. So to prevent this, you basically stick a big compressor on one end of the pipes, and "blow them out" so that there is no more water in them, and so they dont freeze and break :)

haha sorry, but i HAD to correct this since i saw it 3 times :p

it's happens, not happends :D

Sweet. Reminds me of a pic I took few years back. Same idea, but it was the outdoor Christmas lights that froze over :)

mm its actually a double exposure because it was dark where my friend stood. so i exposed one for the trees and one for the .. foreground. purposely under exposed him for a gloomier feeling. shot with 10-20mm sigma on the ground facing up

So after 3,000 shots my battery status bar finally started blinking... just have to say that I"m very impressed with the battery life on all the new modern dSLRs, Nikon or Canon - simply impressive!

wow that's a lot of shots before a battery change. is this one batt or 2 (with the grip)?

ramir 11-07-2006 09:34 AM

it actually lasts that long if you don't use the LCD screen at all, my friend does that with her 20D

yeah, i use the grip, so 2 batteries. I set my LCD review to off so it won't come on after taking a shot and I only use it to check histograms or framing and sometimes focus. I don't use the on board flash either so that extends the battery life even further.

That's aobut 1500 shots per battery on a single charge... amazing eh.

MikesJo 11-08-2006 10:08 PM

bikerx, that pic taken on the way to horizons right?
