I attended the underwear affair on Saturday with my GF who's dad passed away from cancer last year. This was the first event of its kind i've attended and it was absolutely amazing, great people great organizers/hosts, etc. After the run the top fundraising team "pirates of the nether region" were introduced who had raised over 26k this year and over 70k in the past 3. The two main captains of the team/best friends were then brought up These two girls had been effected by cancer in a big way. In 2008 Kate, the girl in the black lost her dad to prostate cancer and only two years after that in 2010 her mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer [the mother is in the white/black leggings in the third picture] the girl in the reds mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer previously and was again fighting it for a second time this year. In order to raise the final $2000 they wanted they shaved their heads in front of everyone with their sisters/brother doing the shaving amazing moment, many tears were shed throughout the whole crowd.
