Meh. It's decent. There's probably better models out there.
Those turtle pic is pretty cool, but it was taken at the surface (lots of good light) and I was only a foot away from it. The rest of my underwater pics were pretty "meh"... decent enough for a $300 point and shoot, but I had real problems with blur and color (even when using the underwater correction filters).
Summary: the AW130 is OK, but don't feel bad that you didn't buy one for your cousin, haha. :-)
Nice pictures Kyle, that's sweet! Love the last shot there! Took bad you didn't have any baby powder! Also, too bad about the burnt out sky in your horse shot shot! Amazing though!

Yup basically what Boostslut said. You can do it with any lens and even with a little lower f-stop. "Nice" lenses just tend to have more aperture blades and will give more points to the sunstar but even cheaper lenses will do some
