couldn't figure out how to use the smooth reflection app on my mirrorless :( https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...98629230_o.jpg |

TwitchyZero, you don't need an "app" for that, just put it in manual and shoot at F16 for about 4 minutes or so and it should be okay. So basically, use a long long long exposure to get the water really flat. And using F16 will give you Starburst which you already seem to have done. Just needs better exposure it seems. |
I see...but the lens I use have sharpness peaking at f8-11...and I kinda like the water/sky inky black. |

You know what's really rather challenging? Taking good pics at 100ft below the surface.... Turks & Caicos http://www.markborland.com/caicos1.jpg Barbados http://www.markborland.com/Barbados7.jpg Oahu, Hawaii http://www.markborland.com/turtle10.jpg Yucatan, Mexico http://www.markborland.com/cenote1.jpg Anyone else into underwater photography? Advice on camera gear for diving (~120ft max depth)? Can't justify spending thousands, but I'd like to upgrade my basic waterproof point and shoot before my next dive trip (Maldives & Philippines... pretty pumped for both). I've seen some pics from higher-end GoPro models fitted with the red underwater filter, and they're infinitely better than anything I've been able to take with the Nikon AW130 I've been using. |
