trust me guys i try my best to focus on the eyes but for some reason it goes out of focus. i did get some shots wherein the eyes are in focus i'll post it up

well if i shoot with a higher aperture then i won't get that much DOF now wouldn't i??? especially if i'm just shooting the face...

any back focusing issues? try some tests on the lens (or was it the camera?)

i used a fixed lens, 28mm f2.8

but yeah i find that the focusing "twitches" when i am about to take the pic.

What AF settings are you using?

It might just be me, but I'm pretty sure that last closeup her eyes still arent focused properly!

i was shooting on f2.8

and as i said the lens was "twitching" with the focusing right before i take the pic... probably that's it. i'll try and be more careful next time with that

yeah i think my kit lens is fine, its just that one. and my telephoto has no issues also i think... not really sure. haha coz i was shooting this at a very fast pace i think i actually was too close to the subject lol...

Check what AF mode you're on. AI Servo would do that "twitching" behaviour, while AI Focus or One Shot would not (assuming you're using Canon)

how tight is your space. using a wide angle like that will cause distortion and make her head look more bulbouse. Try shooting 85mm or above. Just a tip though

i use a 28mm with a 1.6 crop so that's roughly 45mm

i am planning on buying another lens when i get the money but yeah just don't wanna use my kit lens right now

I'm the exact opposite, I love the first shot, and could see it being used in some sort of music ad, whereas the second really does nothing for me...

Photoshop > File > Save As


Screenshot of Photoshop

(excuse the line on the bottom, i'm lazy)

Critique and advice as to why Save As in Photoshop seemed to have upped the saturation a lot?
I do have everything on sRGB color profile (monitor, photoshop, camera) ..so I'm confused.
