Nice shot hangishi Taken with either a 70-200 f/2.8 or a 10-22. Exif's should still be intact. Little editing other then some b/w conversion shadow and highlight tool and some levels and colour adjustments. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/130/3...f4f30e2cc5.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/129/3...f3008d6851.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/149/3...4186f45c63.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/131/3...be0a74fa9f.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/123/3...6af2916ba9.jpg |

niforpix - I swear I see a christmas tree in the second pic, kinda suiting for an icicle =) |
|
^ YOu actually have Soundy on your licence plate or is that a photochop? |
I actually have "SOUNDY" vanity plates, yes. http://www.soundy.org/soundycar-1.jpg http://www.soundy.org/soundycar-2.jpg |
BTW, 77civic, that Deer Lake pic blows my mind every time I scroll past it... the blues in the sky are beyond incredible. Nice work! |
Thanks! I appreciate it I was out trying to see if I could improve my snow shots from last year. The brightness of most of my shots last year made it really hard to expose, so I wanted to try using a CP too see if it would help. Looks like it worked. |
CP? |
Circular Polarizer, I would guess (more commonly abbreviated 'CPL'). |
^uh ya what he said =) whoops |
ah ha! So whats the difference between a circular polarizer and a non circular? Circular just used for wide angel lenses? |
Circular polarizers essentialy 'realign' the light waves after they've been polarized (hence the 'circular' part); otherwise autofocus and autoexposure operation is affected. |
CP = circular polarizer to me... the sky looks too vivid (but that's just my opinion :p) and i see lots of noise? |
BTW, a couple links on polarizers: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tu...larizers.shtml http://www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/DigiCam...polarizer.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polarizer |

V.I.Guy, that kinda looks like my balcony. Everything is frozen. |
awesome shots everyone... photo and typography by me literature by sandra chung http://www.members.shaw.ca/lodennis/iceangels.jpg |
The shots are great and the composition excellent; but Sandra Chung must be one twisted freak to come up with that text. I'm all for creative literature, but who the fuck in their right mind would get a europhic sensation from self-mutilation? more poignantly, who would become stimulated by its sight! Very intriguing. Do you have any more from her? ~S |
