I was actually trying to find your sushi place to see if you were working! But I forgot the name :(

(as these were taken tuesday). Me and my friend decided to go to davies and eat at samarai, and then we walked down davies to gastown.

Okay, after last time's c & c i went out today and tried to work on my depth of view.

Is this more like it?

I also tried to pull out the clouds more but it looks like i failed to do it the right way. Most likely because of the way the cloud shaps and how they were facing and the lighting?

I really like that second shot.

That silouhette is very effective

Senna4ever 07-06-2006 01:08 AM

It doesn't work for me because the 'x' is right smack dab in the middle of the frame.

Aww...

Senna4ever 07-07-2006 02:11 AM

The lampshade is too distracting without detail in it isn't it? I should have used some fill flash...

you have too much fun with infared.

I like 2. It has a nice perspective type of feel.

Senna4ever 07-07-2006 02:27 AM

It's fun, but expensive. One roll of the colour IR film costs close to $20!

Meowjin 07-07-2006 02:41 AM

do you need any special filters?

If i wasnt so broke someone was selling what looked like an old school nikon film slr with a wide to around 100 zoom lens for 100 dollars.

Should have bought it to play around with some IR. :P

Yes, for B&W IR, you need at least a dark red (#25) filter. For colour IR, that depends on your needs. I use a deep yellow (#12), but you can also use an orange filter.
