i kinda want one lol

$300. It will fit any camera and almost any macro lens, as it has adapters for 49mm and 55mm filter sizes. It will fit onto any standard hotshoe. The little black box on the bottom of mine is the Minolta hotshoe adapter.

How big is your light? Mine is a macro ringlight, so it's not big or bright enough for portraits.

mine should be the same size as yours.but its just UGLier? hahah it looks like i have a flash on the top of my camera . it holds 4 Double A's and is an octangular shape.

i can use it at 17mm and tried up to 50 i can put it on my 70-200 but i haven't really tried shooting with it..

oh yeah it has AF asist beam on it too kinda neat

so what are the advantages of a ring light? Why would you need one as opposed to the standard flash? More balanced lighting?

Pretty much even lighting

stuff99 02-07-2007 10:56 AM

Sorry but what does a ringlight do?

ForFoxSake! 02-07-2007 11:04 AM

i'm guessing provides nice, even light for macro (close-up) shots...

!Aznboi128 02-07-2007 04:35 PM

Saw that on flickr, what's the story behind it? lol

Gopher 02-07-2007 10:35 PM

... why are you putting drops in your eyes if you're wearing glasses?

part of my project 1 this term.

urban narrative...

sherman here, just got lasik eye surgry.... in the print, it shows
better, there is actaully no optics in the frame...

for a person who wore glasses all of his life, it's hard to change
the habit over night.

I was just thinking, sweet shot, but why is the cat in there?... then I noticed the title, and it all makes sense :)

So often a good title MAKES the shot.

Alphamale 02-08-2007 09:35 AM

The title does make the shot..but i think if i looked at the picture a bit longer the spacial sense created would also explain the picture..but perhaps that's just in hindsight. I really like it though!

motoyen 02-08-2007 04:06 PM

As a cat owner I love that shot!
