^Did you know theres an navy acadamy there?

Salar:
both are nice... and how did you do a double exposure if I might ask?

Senna4ever 03-04-2007 09:04 AM

Some DSLR's can do multiple exposures.

ColinK 03-04-2007 10:37 AM

^ you mean bracketing right? Or do you mean two exposures at once?

Soundy 03-04-2007 11:45 AM

He means two exposures on the same frame.

Not all that common on digitals, since that can be done so readily in post-editing, but some do still do it.

Doc 03-04-2007 01:33 PM

Two exposures were merged in photoshop using gradient masks.

Cheers,
~S

The Nikon D200 can take multiple exposures. I thought all DSLR's did it before I got mine, because the film version of my DSLR can do it. Needless to say, I was a bit dissapointed.

Nice shot jordan. What was your light source?

Meowjin 03-06-2007 12:10 AM

I used one remote flash ( 430ex) on a light stand that was held by kwazy about 7 feet to the right of my shoulder(where shes looking)

as for Majin, i'll reveal it just this once ;) ahaha kiddin i'll always tell

MikesJo 03-06-2007 11:07 AM

Did you have a diffuser on it, softbox, or nothing?

this one was also shot with the bare flash from above (since kwazy liked this one)

ColinK 03-06-2007 07:27 PM

thanks for the insight bikerx. I've never really used a flash or any sort of extra lighting, so that was really informative! :)

bikerx 03-06-2007 07:41 PM

np :)

but don't use the flash on the camera.. use an external flash. it would be even better if it was off the camera via an off shoe cord or radio slaves :) (cheapo ones from ebay work great )

Meowjin 03-06-2007 08:38 PM

where the hell do you find these locations

yea, I have a big flash that mounts on top of the camera that I've never really used. (My dad gave it to me from his OLD EOS camera) But I'm thinking of getting two wireless flashes.

I think that would work great when taking pictures of properties, and just have them bounce the light off the roof.
It's just too bad that they're like $500 each :(

K-Dub 03-06-2007 08:53 PM

there's a dog in the second picture? =p

these locations? ... driving around. saw it when looking for parking spot on chinese new years day.

Soundy 03-06-2007 09:24 PM

*sigh* I really need some proper lighting... anyone selling anything off cheap?
