PS. Borat rules! lol :p

Spur the moment shots. The nikon D80 has a lot of artifacts when you get into the high ISO :(. My 20D can handle ISO 1600 better.

I like both of those shots of the girl ramir...
btw, when you take shots in clubs, what ISO are you set at? 400?

Mike, I like shot 1 and 4 as well ;)

ramir 03-21-2007 09:41 AM

that club shot was taken at iso 100

with my S50 i always shoot at 100

and when i use my 30D its around 500 everytime then when i don't use flash i use 1250

Mananetwork 03-21-2007 09:46 AM

Ramir your WB is off on the second one. If you added a blue tone, try to keep the whites still white because then it looks washed out.

i actually did that intentionally, but i don't know why, i guess i just want to see how its like when there's a bit of a tint on the image...

thanks for the input though

MikesJo 03-21-2007 10:29 AM

Thanks for the comments guys :).

Mananetwork 03-21-2007 10:35 AM

I hope you don't mind me sampling you image. I took out the blue overcast and added it back into the image without effecting the whites and skin tones.

^ You have to explain how you did that in steps if you re-processed his image tom :).

I think Ramir's image had a better WB before you touched it though. Your edit looks nice though ;).

the original colour of the hoodie is white and in that image it looks light blue now coz the background doesn't have a blue tint on it.

(but heck i like that more actually than with my edited image, hahahahahaha)

would you mind telling me the steps that you did with that? hahaha

 ummm

The skin was blue, the whites were blue, everything was blue or a hit of purple, what not.

I forgot how I did it, I just closed photoshop. Just bring up a curve, fix the wb, add hue/sat - add blue color, mask skin, done .. If you wanted a 100% tone change don't mask out the skin

MikesJo 03-21-2007 02:48 PM

Looked fine on my apple. On my dell you're right.
