it's a special Acura/Toyota JV that broke down within a month of production starting. there's about 200 vehicles produced as the USDM Toyota Aurion until Toyota had enough of the bullshit and called it a day (making the previous gen V6 Camry instead, and never bringing the Aurion to North America)

The Aurion never succeeded in NA, but they made this bastard child that Acura eventually just bit the bullet and continued production as a TL, but also stuck with stock that Toyota left behind. To differentiate between the Acura and Toyota models, they just slapped on the Camry badge and called it a day.(theres slight differences, such as my windows printed with "TOYOTA" instead of "HONDA", and the car having quite a solid 5AT transmission)
Thank god they kept the engine a Honda because VTAK.



tl;dr
found the badge in Hong Kong for 20HKD, could not resist because everyone kept complaining how stock my car was.
It is now a far-from-stock V6 Camry.
