very good! that was the first time i ever had alaskan king crab, and my dad found out that t&t could get them live, u just gotta book ahead, so we did.

Picked him up in the morning, left him whole since but my parents are pretty capable at cooking. anyhow, took him out to the front lawn with the spare dog leash to see how far he would go, he just sat there on the lawn picking at the grass =/ until dinner time. the neighbors kids were like "hOLY, whats that?" just told them that we got a new pet for the day... :D

:( My beardy's tiny, and he won't eat veggies... I don't have any small crickets left, and I don't know what to do!

leave a bowl of assorted veggies in his tank all the time and if he gets hungry he will experiment and try the veggies dont worry. also make sure your dusting the crickets with a calcium/vitamin d supplement. and also i have a bowl full of bearded dragon food made by exo terra in the tank all the time as well, some dragons dont like it but mine does and that food has all the essential nutrients they need as well.

I was feeding him some veggies I got at the pet store with my friend - he wouldn't eat that to save his life. Then tonight my bf shaved up some carrots, and he ate them so fast it was crazy.

I adoped the pet from my best friend, whose roommate abandoned him when she hightailed it back to Whitehorse (without telling my best friend and sticking her with the entire month's rent. Really shitty thing to do). Her roommate never got him a UV light/balast, so his growths' been stunted :( I immediately went and got him one, and he's got more energy than I've ever seen him have!

jepho 09-26-2006 09:10 PM

thats nice of you to adopt him, they love to be handled, try to do it on a regular basis. and make sure uv light you got him is a uvB bulb at a rating of 8.0 or 10, nothing less. he needs to be able to get within 6" of it to properly absord the uvB.

heres a good site on the types of food they can safely eat and such..

i would love to have a bearded dragon..
but i'm still in the process of learning how to care for them and stuff.

jepho 09-27-2006 04:46 PM

heres a video of harry eating a pinky mouse(may be grphic to some) kinda shitty quality cause it was taken with my digital camera...

after the end he watched it for a little bit more then just devoured(sp?) it. first and prob last time i feed im a mouse of any kind.

edit: he just took the biggest poo i've ever seen

Well its not pleasant to watch....but it is nature rather than animal cruelty.

Yea because a caged animal is so natural.

Lomac 09-27-2006 10:49 PM

Introducing...

Roxie

She's a three year old Manx who also happened to be the runt of the litter. I got her from my girlfriend at the time for a Valentine's Day gift. She's fully grown but, because of some problems during the first few months of her life, she's about half the size as a normal cat. She can still jump higher than pretty much any other cat I've seen, though. :D

As a kitten:

The fact that bearded dragons are ominvorous is natrual. The fact that they will eat pinkies if fed to them is natural. They grow well and breed natrually in captivity - they can grow to their full size if you take care of them properly.

Animals eat other animals. That's a fact of nature.

Here's my "Buddy," short for Budweiser. He's a three yr old mischeviously innocent Pure Bred Long Haired Mini Daschund. He's got AKA papers, since he immigrated here from California 2 1/2 yrs ago with his sister Merlot. He has OCD with his material possessions (he goes ballistic if you try to touch his bag!) and like sleeping on his back under YOUR covers while in between your legs. Gawd, I love him!
