Went on Friday night.. hella packed as usual.
Food.. yummy as usual.
Left full and happy.  Didn't get to see Deon there though.
Time for 6th annual birthday dinner soon? loooll man time flies..

Any good recommendations on things a first timer should try out? | There are many dishes you can try, if you are looking for sushi, you can try some of our speciality rolls like the BC Blazer or Saba Inferno.
There are some good meat dishes like the Chicken Karaage and Bonsai Beef is a new one. Everyone has their favourites ... hard to choose heh... but we did introduce some "personal size" dishes so you can try more varieties!
The fresh oysters are also hot sellers here
I was out of town the last 2 weeks, spent some time scouting in Japan.
The liquor bust was disappointing, we will definitely be stepping up our checks so don't be surprised if you're 35 and get ID'd

As far as I know the $8.50 pitchers are still running, probably for at least another week or 2? You can always give Broadway a call to double check. Broadway #: (604) 876-3388
Sorry no plans for these uber cheap pitchers in the Downtown Robson branch, our rapingly high building rent simply wouldn't allow it, we would be losing so much money.  | |

We are in the downtown core afterall ... so they just jack up the prices like no tomorrow, why do you think the Payless Shoe store downstairs is now gone, so is the Bread Garden across the street, both have been empty for months now ... all couldn't afford the rent.

Every few years we go and see if there are any talented chefs in Japan and we invite them to come to Ebisu/Kamei to either work or train and show our current chefs new things.
A lot of our chefs are flown in direct from Japan, it's not cheap, but that's how you all get delicious food | |

went to the broadway location last sunday, 1st time.
website specials do not reflect what is actually there and unfortunately the building's parkade was closed at dinner time
nice place though. my friend was disappointed at no wing specials that day lol.
i was there for the beer specials so i was good 
gotta go back on a tuesday to appease him lol

Ebisu on Robson is probably the best Japanese restaurant I've been to. I love the different types of sushi you offer. It's amazing.
