from previous season/stories, future Ted always paints a picture that Robin remains single and unmarried and childless in the future. this sort of changes the outcome of future Robin.

Spoiler!
I never got that vibe from the previous episodes.
I remember Ted calling Robin "Aunt Robin" to the kids.
But this does blow my mind and makes season 7 a very good season.
And the bro with kids story line was legen... Wait for it.... daryyyyyy!!!!!

don't know if this requires spoiler tags but just in case
Spoiler!
In season 1 episode 9, a stripper introduces herself as "Amber, but it's actually Tracy". And then Bob Saget says "and that's the story about how I met your mother", and the kids freak out. So doesn't that mean that the kids' mother's name is Tracy? Belly Full of Turkey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you're referring to the episode where Robin was trying to befriend the son of the guy she was seeing; where at the end, Ted talks about Robin being in very important pieces of art, his kids'. I think that still makes sense.
If Robin is pregnant now, even if Ted meets his wife next week. With dating, engagement, marriage, etc. By the time Ted's first kid pops out, Robin (and potentially Barney)'s kid would be much older. So it would make sense if Robin takes Ted's kids out without her (presumably much older, and thus not interested) kid.
Also, even though Robin is such good friends with Ted. I always thought it made more sense if she was married to Barney, for his kids to call her Aunt.
Felt like we got nowhere...did not progress any story lines at all.
At the end, I was like "wtf!?"....what a waste of an episode.
+1, thought it was just me. What a cop-out at the end.

I was so stoked that we were finally getting somewhere! Then at the end, I was like "fuck off!"
Now they will break for xmas, come back in January, and spend the rest of the season showcasing PussyTed "falling in love" with another 5 chicks before the season finale where Lilly gives birth.

So over this show.
It's getting repetitive for sure! But am interested in seeing how the Barney/Robin part of the story develops.
