Just one shot from Seymour's opening today, feedback welcome!

**MOD EDIT**

Well the snow is starting to fall and I can't wait to get some fantastic snowboarding/skiing pictures this month.

Let’s start of the thread with Chun’s picture

Absolute fluke that it turned out like this. I can post the original too but it's not far off (other than the dodging and border I did in PS).

PS. the slopes were AWESOME today :D

Meowjin 11-24-2006 06:39 PM

We have a thread for this :P

I wouldn't trust my camera for cypress unless it was sunny.

K-Dub 11-24-2006 09:26 PM

pretty awesomeeee!

just got back home from some sessioning up at seymour... powder is <3

Mananetwork 11-25-2006 01:17 AM

Nice pictures
I'd suggest making the vignetting effect a bit less noticable and more darkeraround the edges

MikesJo 11-25-2006 03:01 AM

Nice sharp pic. I wish I knew some people who could do tricks like that, lol.

Love the picture. It's too bad he's wearing white, if he was wearing ANY color, I think it would've turned this photo from a really good photo to a great photo!

K-Dub 11-25-2006 08:49 AM

taken last saturday (nov 18th) up at seymour.

i'll attempt it and you can take a picture of me landing on my ass

chun 11-25-2006 12:29 PM

To be honest, the trick itself was not a trick, rather a glorified landing on his ass :lol

Mananetwork: The reason why I did it was to somewhat bring out the focus of the picture since he was wearing white... any ideas how to do it? I couldn't think of anything!

I really need a faster lens.

Nevertheless, 70-300mm f/4-f/5.6 Canon gets the job done...

did they have a problem bringing your lens to a whl game?

Bonjour43MA 12-09-2006 01:33 AM

some stuff from a few weeks back, just the usuals:

200mm really isn't long enough when you're shooting from the bleachers... so... who's got a 300/2.8 that I can borrow? :D

They never even ask about my camera bag, let alone check what's in it. Had no problem at any of the playoff games OR World Juniors games last year, either.

Mananetwork 12-09-2006 03:19 PM

We need more hot volleyball girls in tight pants. Yumm!

The WB looks dead on too, Good Job

chun 12-09-2006 03:56 PM

I got a few more shots from Seymour the other day... I'll post it up soon.

cheer-girl 12-09-2006 04:06 PM

Boarder is Franz again, skier is yours truly. I'm no good at photoshop so if anyone wants to take a stab at making these look better, pm me for originals :)

Soundy 12-10-2006 09:00 AM

lol...you are so stereo-typical. what defines a sport? I personally think cheerleading is a type of sport. There's a LOT of team work, trust, physical endurance, strength, flexibility, and much more.

And I guess you wouldn't want to see the other photos either then. All photos include male and female athletes.:o
