Here's a couple websites with information on finding pet-sitters that I stumbled upon. The second site is more of a general information site, but is Canada wide as opposed to only Vancouver.

Port Moody: I took my dogs for grooming at Dapper Dog (on Barnett Hwy). The owner's been grooming for 20 years & they're really nice.
On a sour note, there's a doggie daycare next to it, I think it's AJ Doghouse. I parked in front of the daycare when I picked up my dogs. When we walked back to the car the dogs were barking. Then the attendant yelled at them. I personally wouldn't want anyone to yell at my dogs.

So, Dapper Dog: good, AJ: bad (at least for me)

There's a great little "holistic" pet store recently opened in Pitt Meadows, called "Fetch-A-Bone"... we stopped in there when we were waiting for our new puppy, and the lady running it was very friendly and helpful (and cute ;)). They have lots of organic foods and treats, and we got a really cool harness for our little guy:

Can't see an actual site for the store, but here are some listings for it:

Also, in searching for info on that store, I found this: http://www.pawsitivelycanine.ca/

Canada's Next Dog Whisperer...shhh

Canine Behaviour Specialist

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to share something really cool!

If you enjoy watching "The Dog Whisperer" - TV Show then you'll like Michael Bylo.

He is going to be Canada's "Dog Whisperer", in my opinion(maybe a little secret) ;) . Why? Well, he got direct training from Cesar Millan!!!

Check the link above.

Cheerz!

Here is a site that I made a few years ago. No ads and not selling anything.

Offleash Dog Parks and Leash Free Beaches in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, Canada

Some video and reviews of all the dog parks in Vancouver and Burnaby. Click "Dog parks by City or Map" rest of the site is garbage.

Hi guys,

I've been a lurker on pet forums for a little while and when I noticed this one had a local services thread I had to join in!

This dog trainer is really great. She saved my dog and my sanity with her reactive dog class: Obediently Yours K9 Training Dog Training Vancouver.

Before I met her, I really thought I was going to have to throw in the towel and it was breaking my heart. Having had some serious training and a patient ear to listen to all my panics and frustration, I can actually take my dog for a walk (in the day!) without being scared she's going to hurt another person or dog.
