Well, except for eco-drives. They work well for beater or fun watch.
In that case I would recommend Orient over Seiko in that price range as they can be dressed up whereas Seiko 007/013 are more toolish diver.
Orient Ray as suggested by others or check out the Orient Mako (not the XL). I've read that the blue dial version is pretty stunning too.

got it used on watchuseek, 9/10 condition i would say but doesn't come with case or original rubber strap though. i don't think you can find it anywhere new anymore.
