I bought my G-shock (GW-9200) for $120 after tax vs. $220+tax locally. I didn't have to pay any taxes at the border (this is luck-dependent) but there's potentially huge savings here.

i actually want.the gundam.g shock.for collection purposes, besides.that u was looking at the black one kinda like the one on top of the last page

tired of.wearing my fake pam around as its quite.heavy

I'm not sure if it'll work for white watches, but when I had a scuff on my black G-shock, I rubbed toothpaste on the scuff and it eventually went away. :woot2:

The fossil architect is a classic. Loved that watch. It was one of the few fossil watches I had passed on. I was going through the Bic Tic phase and ended up buying 3 different versions of them:

This is the first Fossil I ever owned. LOVED this watch.

My mom had given me an option of 2 watches for Christmas in 2002 (one of which I had picked out myself, the other was the one she picked). Being the jerk child that I was, I picked the one I had chosen. Years later, I felt bad and wanted to get the one my mom had chosen so I eBayed it and ended up getting a good deal on it:

I also have this one here but can't recall how I came across another Big Tic Dragon one. I still have 2 out of the 3 of these watches. Not sure where the first one has gone off to :(

Then the Fossil Blue line came out (I believe it's one of the few Fossil lines that still exists from back then) and I was just blown away by it as a kid lol. Ended up picking up this one:

Sure have come along way from the Fossil days to the present Panerai days.

Edit: Just went through an old Hotmail account to see how much that eBay listing really sold for. I ended up spending $11.80 on that Fossil Big Tic with the dragon in 2004.

Sorry for this little reminiscent post. That Architect watch photo just got me thinking of my old Fossil watches and the ones that got me into the watch game.

Speaking of Omega, have you guys seen the Dark Side of the Moon? It's crafted from a single ceramic block.

Hodinkee also did a feature on this watch last year

Checked with a local Omega dealer and there's a waitlist for the watch =[

^^ Beautiful watch. But not sure if i'd pay $12k for a nylon strap

ntan 08-27-2014 04:17 PM

I honestly think nylon strap suits the watch. And honestly, the $12k premium comes from ceramic construction of the watch. I've never really been a fan of Omega's, but I'm seriously considering this one.

Food for thought: Rolex jacked up their professional series (GMT, Sub) by $2.5k or so when they started using ceramic bezel.

^44.25mm seems a tad big for the average wrist size. The black makes it looks smaller but your wrist will feel it. Comfort on my wrist is up there with style/movement/price.

ntan 08-28-2014 07:09 PM

^good point. I have yet to see the Omega in person. My Rolex is 40mm and it fits my wrist really well, but the Yachtmaster II is 44m and although it's oversized, it still looks really good. But then again, it's a different style of watch, so the 44m on the Omega may be too overpowering.

Best to try it on some 44mm feel smaller than their actual size based on their materials and weight. Personally I think the sweet spot for watches is 36-40mm, I can't wear anything bigger or smaller.

I'm on the hunt for this.
