For some reason I can't see the pictures you linked but it appears to be linked from your Dropbox. All I see is "Here are my two:" and that's it. It could be me however. |

Just a heads up for those who might be interested. Hodinkee (yeah, I know, it's not for everyone) is running a promo where they offer DDP, so duties and taxes paid for shipments outside of US. That's 17% (12% tax+5% duty) saving roughly. There's a white G-Shock GA2100 (super clean IMO) for U$100 and if it's shipped and taxed in, it's a bit of saving comparing to Canadian sites. Edit: Crap... was trying to order the G-shock, and it's excluded. :fuckthatshit: https://shop.help.hodinkee.com/en_us...actg%3D.UHTEkW |
How long is the wait list roughly to buy a Rolex submariner? |
There isn't really a specific time to wait for one. A few factors are in play. One that I have heard is where it depends on your relationship with the AD. They may be more favored to sell to someone who has had previous purchases from their store over someone just walking in asking to purchase their 1st even if you have cash in hand. |

If you travel overseas there’s a better chance. My buddy in Hamburg got his sub last week, After being on a wait list for only 1 month. I’m going to visit the AD with him when I go there for work in June. Hopefully he might have some clout and I can get one too |
I bought a timex weekender.... last weekend. Love it! always wanted one. 50 bucks on amazon https://i.postimg.cc/13v84H44/IMG-1257.jpg |
Nice pickup. I managed to get the Snoopy Pepsi and Snoopy BLNR last year. Fun watches to wear. |
Rolex Explorer or Datejust 36 (smooth bezel, oyster bracelet)? |
i always like the datejust better. they have some really interesting colors now. |
I think a better question is are you getting the Explorer new or used? And for what purpose? |
Looking for an everyday type of watch. I have too many dress watches I don’t wear anymore ever since WFH so I’ve been wearing a Casio A158 as my daily right now lol. Probably will be a while to get an Explorer though. My AD in Toronto offered me a whole bunch of Datejusts but none of them have been in the exact style I’ve been looking for yet. I’m just worried the polished center links on the DJ makes it too dressy to be an everyday watch. |
If I may ask, which AD is it you are working with in Toronto? (I am based in TO and can help sniff it out.) |

^hahaha thats awesome. youre dead on |
Are there any watches that would hold value or decent investments for around $3 - 7K used / new? Also, I'm looking at the Omega Speedmaster Professional if I'm going over budget and new, seems like you can walk into most AD's and buy it? |

I'm not sure if you can get a Tudor BB new for your range these days, but I think they will have an upside. I regret not getting the Tudor Chrono Panda when it first released, now they are fairly sought after with a waitlist from AD. |
