Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

If that was originally a Seiko watch, I think it would have 4R35 movement (Seiko branded version), not NH35A
"This is not a fake, it's an aftermarket case"... well the aftermarket case is a fake Santos case, and the aftermarket dial is a fake Seiko dial... OK the movement is real Seiko movement
So the question is, why make a fake Seiko that looks like a fake Santos and put a Seiko logo instead of Cartier?
Watch spotting at the Oscars (edit: Here's another on a blog). Some nice ones here.. I know Stallone and Arnie have ditched Panerai since they didn't want to sponsor them after becoming a billion dollar company (fair enough) but someone was wearing one and it looked great on her
Michelle Yeoh wore a Richard Mille... Connection through her husband perhaps?
I love big watches, and I think they look especially great on women (and these aren't especially huge watches).
Speaking of which, here's The Rock, proving that yeah, watches can be too small sometimes. (Tag Heuer Aquaracer)
Getting this watch cured me of all my watch addiction
yes, thats usually how it happens.
I honestly havent worn my regular watches for a few weeks already because how can you go back once you start answering emails on your watch like inspector gadget or play next track, or use the walkie talkie, or remote start your car through your watch
every morning i go up to my box, take one look, and just end up grabbing the crapple watch off the charger because its a work day.
Be careful you don't get too close to the urinal and get pee spatters on your watch skinny
Can't help it, apparently people like me have to hide our shame
Clock arrived last night! The auto nightlight is just what I'd hoped - bright enough to see, but not too bright to glare in my face all night. Here it is in full bright. The sweeping quartz is really cool. Curious how long the batteries will last
Of course as soon as I order that Braun clock, they go and have a 50% off sale
Gawd damn skinny you killing it with the clocks and watches. Kudos for fully embracing this hobby. I know a couple of Watch guys but none of them would buy clocks. Fair weather and brand whore watch enthusiasts those people are.

I am absolutely addicted.. But too broke for watches Still happy to buy some clocks for around the house; actual watch collecting is way too expensive for the ones I like.
but its 40GBP less 50% but 20GBP shipping (10-15 days), so like $67 CAD.
Do reshippers exist in Canada? I use one here that has warehouses all over the world, so when I order something that doesn't ship to me for cheap, I use them.
As you can see in my screenshot, I shipped to Ashford UK, so shipping was only 5 GBP. The reshipper will charge me minimum fee on such a light package, so another $21 HKD ($3 USD). Not the cheapest but still better than the 20 GBP they'd normally charge for rest of world shipping.
Normally online shops local shipping is free, so I would just pay the $3.
Yeh this industry they spend money like it’s going out of style.
I think for these longer duration trips a nato strap is significantly more comfortable than a normal metal bracelet
After trying on all kinds of straps - leather, rubber, silicon, nylon 2 piece, steel (really cheap one), I much prefer NATO. Somehow they let me wear it a little loose, but still stay in place, so they're way more comfy. I also like the way the bulk balances a big watch like this.
Here's some more spam for those who don't mind; a Bond style (khaki green/black) $3 strap
Picked up a Seiko Auto Chrono because its been awhile since i've found anything at garage sales, etc. Chrono function barely works and I knew these movements have some issues but wasn't expecting the parts to be more than double the value of the watch. Pretty cool history behind the movement though as it shares the same one in the "bruce lee" and the "pogue"
I don't know if you guys like restoration videos (that's what got me into watches in the first place) but here's a new one from one I follow where he restores a 6139.
I have a sub no date on order and the day I get it, I plan to order a rubber strap and I don't think it'll ever go back on the bracelet again. I love Subs on straps of different kinds and Rolex purists who think they can only be worn on bracelets can suck it haha.
