Daytona still bad, sub is better than pandemic, dj is pretty easy now *note im only taking about in steel, if you wanted a platinum daytona with diamonds and shit that's still easy as hell, walk in and get it, or even a two tone sub, tahts pretty easy*
no prior purchase history = lawl for sub and daytona. maybe a DJ if you suck enough boutique cock by showing how desperate you are and you'll take anything they have in stock
Badhobz is it same with the explorer 1?
Told my sales guy to keep me on whatever list he makes up in his head. Havent msgd him in a while. Was tempted to get a grey market 39mm in hk.
explorer should be easier to get than DJ. Milgauss too.
All these are easier to grab than the traditional rollies
Just keep in contact with your Sales associate. Remind them you are still looking and give them a holler once in a while. Its usually the squeaky wheel that gets the 10k watch
I understand the Milgauss is quite difficult to get due to its popularity exploding during COVID and it being very limited in production numbers. Prior to that, you couldn't give any away.

Speaking of, I really like this old pic from the 50's Nobel Institute, where scientists had to hang their watches outside the lab where heavy magnetic fields were generated. Don't have to do this if you own a Milgauss! Check out that dude's Bund strap
The sign says "Hang your watch here - when the light is on, the magnet is on!"
I think this is the first Milgauss reference, based on the Submariner with faraday cage and other features to lower the effect of magnetic fields
A watch restoration channel I follow recently restored one that was in that 2013 Asiana Airlines crash in San Francisco
Very cool restoration... at the last minute.. seeing it with a test.. reminded me when I paid for my dad to get this watch "re-oiled" as it stopped working.
1) Giving it being a 30-40 yr old watch, the last time it was done was when we dropped it off in Swizerland back 1997. They mailed us a letter asking for more money... wtf eh.
But all in all, it was totally repolished. (20 yr old watch at that time)
So .. to be honest, it's so over due as it was it daily beater.
2) 2nd time was 2 yrs ago. It was getting slow, so we go it re-oiled. But after 4 months, it stopped working so we took it back to Monte and they did it again so I was happy at least they didn't charge us. No idea what happened.
Maybe you can snag one of them cheap at the boutiques. Im going to check out the omega duty free out of YVR next week. Maybe i can get a planet ocean or something interesting
