I'll be extra careful with the hands!

I'm guessing the service went pretty smoothly otherwise? Seems pretty straight forward looking at the docs, there's just a LOT of gears due to it being a chronograph

This one runs, but does lose time and some of the hands either don't reset properly or don't move at all. So I am thinking it needs a full clean and lubrication, and the non working hand probably needs a new coil. The pusher is kind of fucky too, but probably just dirty.

A coil is about $10

They want you to use thinner oil than 9010 but I'll probably just use 9010. I do have 8000 which is the correct viscosity, but the service time on that is much shorter.

If it comes down to it (and I fuck up the movement somehow), a new movement is about $100. It would be the newer model too, which has better accuracy and is thermocompensated.

Yeah, It's pretty straight forward. You can try it on a demagnetizer to try to fix the stuck hands. Worked for me a few times on some older junk quartz chronographs

Picked this up for $15 at a random vintage sale this weekend. Caught my eye as I love the mid-century modern shape and typography of the numerals, as well as the lume.

Had to tweak the time adjustment a bit but it seems to be holding time decently well.

I have it on my office desk to keep track of time during work; the loud ticking makes me feel like I am in a Christopher Nolan movie and is quite meditative.

They're on like a 2 year roll... great designs and pulling stuff from their history.

They have a CF version too (well "extended carbon fiber" so a cheap version but whatever)

It's something I've been appreciating lately; CF dive watches are really cool

Yes timex is back baby !!!! Although my Waterbury chronograph is a piece of shit for build quality. It’s still a nice piece to look at.

That desk clock looks like a paneri inspired dial

Timex did the thing! Plastic dive-looking watches!

The good: Unlike the Blancpain or whatever, it's only $130

The bad: It's not waterproof at all

My pick in the colourful dive watch category is the Bulova Snorkel line:
