For the "image". I know people that wear fake rolex and they don't care. They admit straight up that its fake. I wouldn't wear a replica panerai or rolex though... It wouldn't feel right.
Very nice. If only I could afford.. so instead i got myself a Seiko "Yellow Ceasar" SNDA15P1
I have been thinking of getting it for quite sometime and I gave in lol. I love it. My only complaint is that the crown is huge that it digs into my hand.
As somebody had mentioned here before... Once you've been bitten by the bug, you will be itching for more

regarding that convo about replica watches
some people just don't care about the movement involved in a watch they just strictly like the design (like fashion jewellery) and so why deny yourself a design that you yearn for simply because its not the original? not everyones going to be able to save up $40k or $500k etc for a watch
you're just doing yourself a disservice by being restricting

Have been itching to get this for years.. Might be time to pull the trigger..
I would get the newer hulk. Green ceramic and bigger lugs way better. I have the black ceramic and it gets compliments because it looks alot beefier than the old sub. Posted via RS Mobile

That is a really nice piece! I like how there is a bit of concaveness in the watch!

This is a nice watch. You should be instead. Nothing wrong with staying inside your budget. You should be proud of your self-control.. watches tend to induce impulsive purchases.

I'm still kinda shopping around and procrastinating for now.. I've just wanted a Rolex Sub with green bezel for years.
On this 06 model I do get quite a hefty discount, and I actually kind of like how the bezel looks more "round" without the extra bulk on the sides.
Might finally pull the trigger and pick this up sometime this coming week.. what's the worst that can happen? lol

Agreed. I just recently got a Black Monster on mesh (see a couple of pages back) and get more enjoyment out of wearing it over my Rolex. I could have easily sprung for a more expensive watch (Grand Seiko) but opted for a cheaper watch. For now.

^ I completely understand. I think I get more enjoyment out of wearing my Tissot than my Omega. When I wear the Omega I'm always worried that I'm going to get it banged up, but when I wear the Tissot, it's just a good looking watch that I'm not afraid to get a nick or two on.
But this Rolex Sub I've been yearning for is kind of like my Holy Grail. I've never wanted a single watch for so long. I've been able to resist other pricey temptations, but I think I have to go ahead and scratch this "itch."

True. I just wanted to venture into the quality automatic timepieces but can't seem to dish out $$$ for it yet and just opted for something a lot cheaper. Maybe next time once I have saved up enough for one. I was pretty much just poking fun of myself.
Though like I said, I love the watch so...

I got it for just under $300 with 50% off + taxes
Online is cheaper(about $50+) but none have them in stock.

The first scratch is always hard to get over. For all my watches, when I get the first scratch, I'll obsess over it for a month, then I don't care about any scratches after, haha.
Rolex sub --> Do it! Then post pics
And eviljigglypuff - nothing wrong with seiko. I'd like to own a spring drive seiko watch one day
I got it from Timeco at Metro. They were having a renovation sale and seiko's where 50% off.

I know of seiko's before but just didn't know the history of it. Now that I am just starting to collect watches, I'm learning the history behind different brands.
Forgot if i posted my watches in this forum or the fashion one. Anyways the Black Ceramic sub is mine, and the Date Just II was purchased for my fiance. Hers is a 41mm , white gold bezel with stainless steel bracelet. Pictures don't do it justice, the DJII looks huge in person. I blurred out the serial and price on the SubC
^Seems more ladies are wearing men's watches now. My wife's Perrelet is already pretty big at 37mm for a woman's watch, I can't imagine her wearing anything bigger than that!
^yeah, the picture is of her wearing the DJ II. The guy at the Rolex store was shocked, when i asked for it for my fiance. He said shes the first lady to buy the new DJII. But since then shes got so much compliments on it.
