Had a good look at it tonight and with the lume I really love this watch lol. Best $200 spent imo I think. Compared to my last watch, I bought a Meister online, all black on black Ambassador. I wish I didn't get that and got 2 of these instead haha.

I also just left my ebay feekback for creation watches au, it reminded me the shipping was free. It was free shipping but the fastest shipping I ever got from Asia. It's been a good day, + some other goodies and substances that happened to come my way lol.

Oh that's only half of them :-P

Makes the watch different each time. Since I am holding off on new watches for a few years, I buy straps here and then to make the pam different.

Oddly enough, some straps from the older pre-A series panerai can be over $1000, and there are a lot of deep pockets will buy them.

Wow good eye, you must be a closet paneristi

Some are original, but I dislike them since they are 22mm, and you can't really use the big/cool buckles. I keep them usually for when I flip a watch, and don't wear them.

The GPF buckle straps are my favourite, the ones here are from Mario Paci and Wotancraft, and Simona.

A modest collection, but thanks for noticing the buckles, I am trying to find more custom/rare ones without breaking the bank lol

lol not really a closet paneristi
those are my two current daily watches (45.5mm and 44mm)

i agree with having different straps makes the watch look different everytime. i don't have as much straps as you do, but i'm looking for stuff other than just leather thank god panerais have screws instead of spring bars!!!

btw, i saw on another forum a guy selling bronzed buckles, and another one selling pre-v, thumbnail and i think gpf in gold plated

Nice 112!
I prefer it over the 000, and I think they have appreciated quite well.

If that brown strap is oem, it is 'waterproofed' leather. I used to think they were crap but nope!!!

I dislike the new quick release for the modern panerai, the screw bars are way better.

hmmm I have oem thumbnail and oem pre-v, but bronzed is an option. I have been thinking of the new bronze diver 382, but it seems that's reserved for buyers with bigger paychecks!

yeah i love my 112! sandwich dial, great lume, handwind and is the easiest to tell time
the brown strap is oem. it actually started out a bit more tan than brown, but i think a little patina developed, which is good waterproofed huh...? i never knew that! maybe il soak this and the oem black in water later and see.

the only models im looking at possibly for the next panerai is just a basic 210 or a 292.
that bronze diver is gorgeous! but it just ain't my style.

I don't know if the black one is waterproof, unless it's the oem rubber lol !

I know that if you get the brown one wet, it does turn a darker brown color permanently.

If you get a radiomir you have to consider buying the odd sized radiomir straps

yeah i did think about the radiomir and how it goes from 26mm down to 22mm, and i'm not entirely too sure that i like that taper. i dislike how the OEM deployment on the PO uses 22mm at the lugs, but at the clasp is just 18mm. if i dont get a rad, maybe il just get a destro 219

aha! thanks for the tip on getting a dark brown! that explains how it got that patina because i recall getting drenched in the rain sometime last december down in SF and then switched to the black one, leaving the brown to dry before storage. i only brought out the tan strap late august. i have the oem black leather and oem rubber as well.

219 is too close to 111 imo.

Maybe consider the 026? I would buy it used of course, since it is destro and they don't command as much (not sure why)

The 26k is a bit weird with the seconds dial, since it is where the 3 should be. I guess that's how destro dials need to be to prevent a cluttered look.

@notjustforshow: i know what you mean with the 219, it's a mirror image of the 112, thats exactly why i like it. oftentimes when i do a photoshoot, if i am wearing my panerai on my left hand, the crownguard often digs the back of my hand when im holding a heavy lens. i could switch it to the right hand, but... yeah, it's a stupid logic for wanting a destro

thanks for the tip on 026! completely forgot about that!

@sid vicious: which store ships orient here? was looking at a couple over at orientwatchusa but they dont ship here

yep keep in mind the 26 is limited though. I think 2008 was the last and one of the only years it was made.

Cheapest I've seen is $4.5k with no box and papers. You can probably score the 219 with b&p for that price.

I agree with the crownguard comment. Wear it in the sun long enough and you will also have a crownguard tan lol.

... (looks at wrist)... nope! just a regular watch tan, no crownguard
on a side note, if i dont get a 26, i don't really mind. saw some new GMTs the other day with the new vintage dials. looks busy but those look great!

Does anyone use an automatic box winder or a display box for their watches?
If anyone does. I'd like to see. TIA

Was looking at something like this. What you guys think?

^ that particular one? the closest i found would be from SINN watches or STEINHART, they both have good deployments too, but they aren't cheap, and they both have embossed lettering.

if you are looking for OEM, they're gonna set you back at 500 for both strap and deployant

doesn't necessarily have to be deployment, and definitely not dropping coin for OEM. just looking for something in that style, i.e. raised/padded middle, stitched border etc

does it have to be with a curved edge around the lugs/integrated design?
you can check out Modena Watch - Italian Rubber Watch Bands / Straps or maybe panatime.com
they might have something along those lines. they come pretty inexpensive too, maybe 40/50bucks?

and if you aren't particular with having embossed lettering, check out weigand custom watches (makers of lum-tec). they have 22mm integrated rubber straps with either a brushed or dlc (pvd?) buckle for around the same price

canvas & nylon

Check out some of their canvas/non leather straps for a good range of lug width

some are raised/padded. I may pick some up in the next while, seems like a good price.
