Im actually in the market for a watch. Looking to spend around 1000-2000 dollars. Any recommendations? Websites? Local shops? Not neccessarily looking for a high end brand, but what im looking for it to have a classy watch wif a few diamonds in the center peice. Maybe 3-5 carats(classy not bling bling where everything is iced out with real/fake diamonds). On that note anyone recommend any jewellers. I know my budget isnt really that high but im pretty sure its doable.

Dude 3-5 carats is quite alot. No cheap watch company will put that many diamonds into their watch and try to sell it for 1000-2000 lol

Been looking through this thread and I'm quite impressed. I've never really wore watches but I'm thinking of buying one. What brands would you recommend in the $300 to $600 Range?

I know that doesnt seem like much for the hardcore collector but I look at this like my first car (something reliable but somewhat good to look at). Then again alot of people on RS go straight to the BMW.

If you're looking to get into watches, for that price range, check out Seiko divers (Automatic), Tissot PRC/V8 (Quartz), and Citizen Eco-Drives (runs off light). Those seem to be the most popular in that budget. jomashop.com

If you're just looking for a whatever watch to tell time, go with any random quartz that has a pretty casing you like.

Side note, WTF, it's been over a month and I still haven't received my leather strap for my Rolex Sub yet!

Yeah, they said they shipped from UK on Sept. 17..
Hopefully it'll be here soon.. the seller said they'll send another set free of charge if it doesn't show up by the end of the month, which is awfully nice of them seeing as it's likely CP's problem.. But really? A month and half..?

I am a fan of the bottom for dress and everyday. The top seems a bit small, maybe 36mm? The jewel also seems a bit much too. Just my opinion, it may look better in person.

I'm looking to get into real watches for under or around $500. What do you guys thinks of the steinhart debaufre ocean 1? It looks almost exactly like a rolex sub, I love it and hate it for this reason. Couldn't afford a real rolex and from reading review this one seems like a good poor man version. Got good features and solid movement for the price.

I don't know how I would feel wearing a rolex lookalike though. I'm also looking at some much cheaper seikos 007 sea urchin. All of them submariner inspired... What should I do =\

Okay, $5000-9000 Tag Heuer doesn't really make sense.

I have these two in mind, what would you pick? Tissot or Gucci? I like them both but should only buy one.

Tissot Couturier $625

Gucci G-timeless $950
