Same here harharhar!:megusta:

BTW moky, check Discountwatchstore.com
They have the lowest price (for Mako) I could find shipped to Canada. Google for additional 5% discount. Also, shipping is just a tad under $20 for me but I checked, they use UPS Worldwide Saver which includes the outrages brokerage UPS like to charge us Canadians. Another plus is that it should arrive in 1-3 days.

Just got a Ipod nano today from the gf.
Going to convert it into a watch as well. something modern and everyday use. From the gym, to school, and to the car (ipod deck). Pops on and off with ease.

Can't wait.

Also waiting for a Hirsch Carbon strap to come in :D

Where do you guys ship to with Jomashop? US address or your Canadian address?

PJ 11-28-2011 02:51 PM

I had it shipped straight to my door.

flagella 11-28-2011 07:52 PM

I wonder, for those people that do this how long does the battery last with the screen on like all the time? Isn't it a hassle to always charge it?

PJ 11-28-2011 09:42 PM

Realized I don't have any square-faced watches.. itching to get one.

The screen doesn't stay on. It blacks out eventually. When you want to view the time you have to push the button. I guess that saves battery?
I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this as a straight watch. But it's nice to wear here and there.

Sid Vicious 11-30-2011 09:39 PM

not feeling that at all. but i am of the conviction that watches should have second hands and hour markers

mako 11-30-2011 10:30 PM

is that a woman's watch?

I don't suppose any you of will have a spare PVD buckle that you could sell me?
Ordered a handmade strap today but doesn't come with any buckle.

Also, any of you tried undersized straps on your watch?
This strap is 21mm going on a 22mm lug watch.......I hope it won't look like shit.

cantona 12-08-2011 03:35 PM

^
i have a leather strap that is a mm bigger and it just fits into the lugs of my hamilton and you cannot tell it is a bigger strap, dunno about smaller straps or how it would look, if you had a choice i would pick bigger always but ill guess you'll find out soon

joquio 12-08-2011 03:40 PM

Yeah, I initially thought it won't be a issue but I've been reading that it's always better to oversize by 1mm than undersize.
Fingers crossed that 0.5mm on each side won't be noticeable.

maxxxboost 12-08-2011 06:32 PM

I just bought a Hirsch Carbon 20mm for my 19mm lug and it fits very well.
I also tried comparing the 20mm for my 22mm lug and it just looks awful.
I don't think 1mm would me a big difference, but surprisingly, 2mm does.

Only way to find out is to try it.

moky 12-08-2011 06:46 PM

cantona, that SARB is a beauty!!

joquio, 1mm smaller wont be noticeable to other people, but you yourself might notice it from time to time that there's "play" in the strap, it will move left to right. does that strap come with tubes? that's a pretty radical design too, what watch is it going on?
post pics! :D
