The DW6900 is just a basic G-Shock with all the regular G-Shock features. The GW6900 is basically the DW6900 but with Solar power and Atomic Time keeping.
The GLX6900 has all the basic G-shock functions plus moon data function and a tide graph. It's technically a "Marine watch". It's not the same watch as the DW6900/GW6900. The only thing that's the same is the case design, hence the model number "6900". Quote:

The batteries are dead though...

I agree with the others...but being a G-shock fanatic, I am gonna chime in too!
Get the regular DW-6900, the battery can easily last you 5+ years with heavy usage.
The GW, like what the others said has the "tough solar" and the "atomic time-keeping" functions. BOTH are gimmicks
~The solar thing is practically useless because the rechargeable battery used in the GW needs to be replaced after 10 years or so.
~The atomic time-keeping is useless because it's really hard to get a clear signal here in Vancouver. Mind you, the closest atomic-tower is in California. SO WTF is this function then?? Well, you simply let your watch "Sync" at night-time so that it will have a more accurate time; given that digital watches tends to time-drift (give or take a few seconds).
As for the GLX, it's also known as the G-Glide, it's more geared towards the female crowd also I have seen guys rock them.
My 2 Cents |

The titanium series? I assume you mean the 8200 line.
They currently command a street price of 200 brand new, and 180 used.
They are highly collectible but not so much desirable, that's why I sold one of it and kept one for my collection. Posted via RS Mobile

I didn't know Casio were so popular, i remember back in the days when i had one. I've been seeing a lot of people wearing them. Didn't know there were so many models. lol
I really like the G-1500 aviation and the G-300 street rider.

Looking to pick up my first watch. A lot of you guys here have some really expensive ones though lol. Not sure about a budget but I'm looking towards a full gold one. Sounds tacky but that's what I'm interested in.
Any brands one may suggest?

Any brands one may suggest? | If its going to be a full gold watch you have to buy something timeless like a ROLEX. If gold is your thing, a gold Rolex will last you forever. There are no cheap or budget watches that will make a watch in full gold. Unless you mean "gold colored".
I honestly havent checked the pricing on a real gold datejust or day-date 2. I would assume it will be pass the $40K mark.

Any brands one may suggest? | Can't get a good gold watch for cheap. Rolex datejust or president immediately comes to mind but you have to be ready to pay. Try finding a used one? Or a two toned rolex instead?
Please don't get a gold timex or invicta its just tacky.

Please don't get a gold timex or invicta its just tacky. | Yeah I'm leaning towards Rolex to be honest. And the Day-Date 2 is exactly what I was looking at earlier. No two-toned, just full gold. Any specific jewellery shops come to mind to pick one up?
