Sold my Rolex sub, and sold/gave away all my various quartz watches.
Now I'm just left with my Omega Speedy and Tissot V8. If I get a humble Seiko, I think I'll be good for a long time.

Got a Vestal Zeppelin up for sale if anyone's interested. Very big watch. My skinny wrists can't handle it.

Picked up these two over the last two months.
Also, sold a bunch of watches in the process including the Omega Seamaster Bond.

Halios Puck 1000M - mounted on my beloved ISOFRANE

Magrette Regattare Bronze - Tried it on my new leather Nato strap. My favourite setup for this watch so far.

Hmmm....now that yo've mentioned......you're right. The watch case does have a few resemblance to the PAM. Didn't notice that before.
What got me into the watch was the bronze casing and the patina it can develop.

Case shape kinda looks similar to the PAM.
Sorry not too familiar with PAM but I think that one is rose gold? not bronze right?
Also, different lug design, different crown and different bezel.

Kors, Armani, Burberry, etc are all just Fossil watches with a logo stamped on it to justify having the price jacked up 2-4x.

Nothing is "wrong" with that, so to speak. If you like it, you like it. It's your watch.

But for the price you pay for those, you can get a watch from an actual watch brand that makes their watches, not just a rebranded accessory from a clothing brand.

Why do you like Michael Kors? You're paying a premium for the brand, the inside of the watch is nothing special. Most of their watches are really blingy too. You get a lot of flash but no substance.

If you're ok with that go ahead. If you want a "better" entry level watch get a Seiko.

So after a lot of deliberation, I finally sprung and bought my first semi-high end watch (I'm used to wearing $100/$200 watches).

Picked up a Tissot Le Locle Gent with the white faced dial. It's also my first automatic watch, is there anything I need to know about maintenance? If I wear it once or twice a week, is that enough to keep it wound and functional?

If you are only wearing it once or twice a week I'm afraid the power reserve won't be enough. You might have to wear it like every 2nd day to keep it wound.

Also, don't set the date using the quick set function (1st click on the crown) between 10pm-2am since that's the changeover period and it might damage the gears if you do that.

Thanks that is good to know. If the power reserve does die on it, does hand winding it using the crown to get it going on a weekly basis damage it in any way over a longer period of time?

Hand winding shouldn't do any damage.
I would just give it a quick wind when you are not wearing if you don't want the watch to stop. Should be doable since you only have one automatic.
I stopped doing that and just set the time every time I put in on my wrist since I have too many to keep t.rack of how much power reserve they have left.

you could damage the stem if you keep handwinding it if it originally wasn't designed to be handwound. also, you can wear down the screw-down crown by keeping on unscrewing it and re-screwing it to handwind.

From what I understand, the Le Locle model does not have a screw-down crown. Unless I am mistaken.

Scratch that Ocean 7 LM-7 that I've posted.
Seller was a douche. I paid for it and 3 days later he still hasn't ship and decided that he doesn't want to sell it to me any more because he thinks I'm scamming him.

Perfect timing though since a super mint SINN 556I came up and I pulled the trigger on it last night
