Well, looks like the postman didn't deliver today. So hopefully I'll see it tomorrow!
Great grails you've set for yourself.
I have the exact same two in my mind. I was actually deciding between the Sinn U1 and MM300 and went for the MM300 first. Even though I love the minimalistic design of the U1, I'm afraid that I'll get bore with it too quickly.

An Omega PO XL with red numbers and black bezel will probably my final watch when I'm done with buying watches. But before that I need to try out the Breitling Avenger Seawolf.

for the seiko fans out there, i have to say that between rodeo jewellers and chrono boutique (diagonal from rodeo) (in oakridge), they probably have the most complete seiko lineup i've seen here in vancouver. they have about 6 or 7 anantas on display, as well as maybe 8-10 grand seikos (spring drives)

Which Shark Diver? The 45mm or 42mm?
I had the ETA 45mm SD with Black Dial/Orange marker.
I really loved it when I first got it. Originally wanted it in 42mm but got a good deal on the 45mm so that's why I went for the 45mm. After a few days of wearing I couldn't get over the size. The 18mm tall case is just too tall for me and looks funny on my wrist.
So I ended up selling it after a month or so. After that I was looking out for a deal on the 42mm SD but eventually lost my interest.
I do have to say the lume on the dial and bezel were NUCLEAR!!!
Here is a picture of the one I had.

Even bought a cool mesh bracelet for it.

BTW, I did receive my MM300 2 days ago and boy, it's worth every penny.
I'll post some shots over the weekend so that I can take better pictures in the daylight.

I was browsing for the 42 mm, I saw a review on YouTube and its Definetly a tall case like you said, from what I saw, but it seems like a really well built watch and Somethig about the case design just caught my eye. It's only available used now I think, but I'll wait a couple months and see whether I am still interested in pursuing it. The bronze does look nice too.

Your sharkdiver looked really nice too, especially with the mesh,
Also nice one on getting the mm300, pics would be sweet, I bet your chuffed to just wake up and wear it.

I do think the 42mm with the 14.5mm height is a lot more manageable.
SD do wear big thought especially with the bracelet.

I feel like wearing the MM300 everyday now.
I'll do a comparison of the MM300 with the Orient OS300M.

Speaking of bronze, I do have the Olivier Bronze incoming. Pre-ordered few months back and slowly they are starting to ship out in small batches since about two weeks ago.

Already received my killer handmade strap that I specifically bought for the Olivier Bronze.
Some quick and dirty pics:

That is a very cool looking strap, has a little rustic look to it which i like; where did you get that from if you don't mind me asking.

Strap is from Joe at Diaboliqstraps: http://www.facebook.com/diaboliq.straps
He's a member on various watch forums.

I manage to snap a few shots of the MM300 with the OS300 today with the limited daylight.

Where to begin?
When I first got the watch and put it on my wrist I thought to myself "NICE Watch! But a tad too small maybe?"
I usually like to wear bigger watch that's around 45mm and even though the MM300 is at 44mm, it's wears smaller because of the smaller bezel and dial. (Note that the OS300 is just 1mm wider at 45mm yet it wears a lot bigger on the wrist).
But now almost 4 days in and I'm actually getting use to the size and don't find it particular small and actually wears very comfortable on my wrist.
Many have argued whether the OS300 is comparable to the MM300.
When I bought my OS300 I was telling myself that this is a beast of a watch and it'll fill the MM300 void.
Now that I have both I have to say that they are comparable yet very different at the same time.
Side by side, the OS300 is like many have said "MM300 on steroids". It's bigger, badder, and RAW. With the tough as nails bezel insert, 5mm thick sapphire crystal, power reserve, and 16.5mm case height. I think raw is the best word to compare it to the MM300. That being said, it looks badass with jeans and T.
The MM300 on the other hand is very refined, classy, yet still has the toolish rough feel to it. Beautiful case finish, high gloss bezel, alternating polished/brushed case, gorgeous dial and brushed hands. It's simply mesmerizing looking at the watch.
Works well with smart casual attire.

Well postman pat delivered the orange sumo today, a wicked early Xmas gift. My brief impression of it is, wow! Totally on another level compared to my skx007 which I love. I got the orange dial and it's a great change to all the black dial watches I own, very doxa-esque. The bezel I like, I think the font goes well with the look, rotating the bezel can only really be done at the 12 and 6 o clock position bc of the case design, it's smooth and firm, maybe a tad too firm, but I don't have much to compare it too. The Lume on it is also top notch. Unlike the blue dial and black dial versions, which have metal hands thy match the metal lume pips on the dial, the orange dial has black trimmed hands; it doesn't bother me too much. The lug width is 20mm, and that's probably true only nit picking issue I have with the aesthetics, but I'm not too bothered since I'm just thrilled with the watch overall. I have it on the marine master 300 rubber, and I think it looks great; I'll be purchasing the oem bracelet or a yobokies one when I have the funds. I can't talk to much about the movement since I generally don't know too much about them yet, but I think this 6r15 is the current solid workhorse for seikos at this price. This isn't much of a review, but overall I'm really pleased with this; and a quote I read for this watch online "it (the sumo) is 90% the mm300 yet 25% the price of one". It is what is, a solid ~$600 dollar watch, which I recommend as a midrange diver.

Also Joquio, for the 10% or whatever ( just kidding ) more the mm300 is compared to the sumo, it looks totally worth it, its a really gorgeous watch you have there, i think if I had one, that would satisfy all my seiko cravings, except for maybe the snowflake grand seiko

Love the Omega Seamaster PO.

Do you guys prefer the PO with the 2500 movement or the new 8500 movement PO?
