Local? Online? Post some pics of them please :)
Looking for a box that'll fit 5-6 watches

My current box is a gift from my parents. I believe it's from a store called Bombay (I think)...it's like a home decor store I think, this is local too.
I'll post a pic when I'm able to. If price isn't a issue, I've read threads about this guy in Europe, maybe Germany, who makes handmade cases for 1 to multiple watche, cases are made from different kinds of woods, I think a carbon fiber one too. I'll look for that link later too.

School me on different boxes: Is there a real difference between them? Say, a $50 one vs $100 ones?

hi-revs 03-26-2013 07:02 PM

been eyeing this one:

Just get this watch box.
It's from Bombay. Several RS watch guys also have this box.
If you can wait they have 30%-40% sale often.

I wouldn't get this one. For the same price you can get the Bombay one when it goes on sale. The Bombay watch box is of much higher quality.
I can bet you that the Jefferson watch box you linked has those cheap plastic windows whereas Bombay's is glass top.

Ok I found the link for the German watch box guy
Accessory Collectors' Corner: FS: FINE WATCH BOXES - ideal for PANERAI WATCHES

From looking at pictures of them, I think they worth the price ~150 for a 6 watch box
I only have my one box to go on, and I don't know how much it is, but for 150, to have a real wood or cf solid classy lookikg handmade box from a German guy, that's seems alright.

Here's a thread on a guy who bought his : REVIEW: Custom watch boxes by Rainer in Germany [PIC HEAVY] - RWG: REPLICA WATCHES GUIDE FORUM
Looks real classy

Edit: yeah, the one Joquio posted is the one. If you don't wanna haste with ordering one, Definetly go with that, they are solid.

$150 is more than what im wanting to spend. I think i'd want one with a glass top tho :p

hi-revs 03-26-2013 07:21 PM

Gonna sleep on the carbon fiber one i posted for a couple days or unless i find something nicer.

cantona 03-26-2013 07:23 PM

Heh yeah it's pricey, and I'm happy with my Bombay one tho.I'll pick one up next time I get lucky at playing the casino lol

Do you guys use jomahshop? They have some awesome sales but their shipping to Canada is ridiculous, its at least 80$ and up. Which really cancels out the sales, how come their shipping is so expensive when others are just 10 or 20$.

I'm not sure where to buy locally, but I can recommend getting natos from Crown&Buckle and also from gnomonwatches. Nice selection of color and hardware and they aren't too thick either (which I like).

Palladio. While you're there, if you can find out the price on a PAM000 and/or PAM104 that would be great.

Got one from Sears when they had a 30% off sale.
Other then that, they're usually about 40-50 bucks
