| Attractive 2.0l turbocharged GK Tiburon
I know a lot of people here have a pretty strong bias against anything that isn't considered "cool," but I still think this is a pretty neat little project. And since it's the lighter 2.0l motor, rather than the bulk and inefficient V6, the car doesn't suffer from quite as much death-inducing understeer as it might otherwise.
Keep in mind, Hyundai's 2.0l Beta-series engines were effectively built by robbing Mitsubishi's 4G63 parts bin.
From the owner: "Since people think more whp is the better, I wanted to go with something that makes a lot of power while still reliable. So I went with Garrett GT3071 turbo which is known for fast spool up time. We all custom fabricated turbo manifold to roll cages except for few things that were needed from outside of Korea such as turbo, injectors, and waste gate. Believe or not, all the fabrication was done by 1 person in 2 weeks. After break-in period of new hardware, it took out 401.98whp@ wheels. Few weeks after, it took out 432.43 whp after removing the race cat."
Exterior:
F/L front bumper
F/L headlights
F/L taillights
M&S front lip spoiler
Carbon fiber hood painted in black
17x8 WORK EMOTION KAI Bronze
Suspension:
Apexi N1 adjustable coilover
Carbon fiber front strut bar
11point circuit ready rollcage set up
Engine:
Garrett GT3071R w/
seoulfulracing manifold
seoulfulracing Intercooler
seoulfulracing intake pipe
seoulfulracing BOVx2
seoulfulracing 3" custom made catback exhaust
630cc injector
Bosch fuel pump
Fuel Pressure regulator
Fuel return line
Oil catch tank
radiator support tank
racing radiator
NGK plug 9's
ITG 100mm air filter
System BBTB
270 duration Highcam shaft
Valeo Extreme clutch/flywheel
Stopper:
4 piston calipers with 13" rotors in front
11" brake kit in rear

as much as it aches me not to say"it's just a Hyundai", I like this one a lot. It's very slick. Good job to the owner of the car!

must be really fast.
but FWD? won't it torquesteer like crazy? Quote: Originally posted by GreenAccord That looks awesome nice work. Too bad hyundai didnt make the tib a rwd now that would be even more awesome. | I personally like the Tiburon. If it was RWD, I'm sure many would of gave it a lot more respect.
