I second Kits...I used to go to Renfrew community centre, man that place was a pos compared to Kits. 290 something dollars a year for flexipass gives you gym access as well as pool access at other community centres too.

Noonish is good if you don't have class or work. 5 - 8ish are the peak hours, after 9 dies down. Kits closes at 11 too, so going around 9 isn't too bad.

You only pay $25/month at world gym? I've been paying $31.79/month for 3 and a half years! I've been getting ripped off.. lol.

Gold's Gym $43.xx a month + $75 initiation. I don't like the gym that much but it's the only one in town that isn't pathetic.

Gold's Gym is nice. A lot of guys from World Gym migrated over to Gold's Gym.

bumping an old thread.

Where's a gym that opens very late? lol. I want to purchase a month pass for now, but not sure where is a good place. Are all the rates you guys listed after 'certain' years of being there?

I go to the Fitness world in burnaby. Mon-Thurs is open until 11. Fri and sun til 10. Sat til 7
The place is ok, not the greatest, a bit cramped and parking sucks. But for $15 a month, i can't complain.
I think like a year ago, they were running some sort of special. 90's theme. $400 initiaton fee and $20 per month after that. If you're good, it might be still negotiable.

if anyone is looking to goto World Gym, find someone that works at Home Depot and try and get in on their corporate rate. Im sure they have corporate rates for many companies but I did mine with my ex with Home Depot. Paid $18/month. this was in Kelowna but Im sure their rates are pretty standard since the memberships are standard. but I didnt really like the gym.

$33 @ the YMCA here. including pool and trainers.
