Anyone get a membership at the new Richmond Gold's yet? My dad says the new Steve Nash club in Richmond is $40/month just for the gym.

the nash center is opening up in richmond as well over by the delta hotels kinda close to moxies area... (by the brick) if that makes it easier. rates are going to be around 40$ to compete with golds but i think the rates skyrocket after a certain time...
golds is suppose to open in jan.

are you allowed to see what it's like inside Gold's yet? I'd probably go there if it's $1 a day

golds is suppose to open in jan. | the $1 a day is basically after you've signed the contract and paid the initiation fee correct? is the initiation fee a deposit or is it an actual fee your never going to get back.

Langley Township Rec Centers. 3 different locations, two complete rec centers with pools, and one stand alone gym. Used to pay $36 month for Student, now its about $50 for adult. I just do drop in once a week now do a small work out and then go to the pool and sauna.

I go to Platinum Athletic Club. It's alright.. they're doing some pretty good upgrades to make it more worthwhile for $37/mo.

did anyone sign up to the new gym located at the old A&B sound on hastings across from mcdonalds by Playland?
It was in the headlines a few months ago for being HA owned and looks empty everytime I pass by. They have a special going on right now $40 for 6 months so I may give it a try.

The place is ok, not the greatest, a bit cramped and parking sucks. But for $15 a month, i can't complain.
I think like a year ago, they were running some sort of special. 90's theme. $400 initiaton fee and $20 per month after that. If you're good, it might be still negotiable. | kind of bumping an older thread but how are you paying 15/month? how long were you with fitness world to grandfather that deal?

Watermania Gym. If you get the Coffee News in richmond somewhere, you can get 50% off. So it costs about $3 a time. You can use the whole facility there. You can buy a monthly pass, but Its not worth it to me.

any deals on the gym that you guys are currently training at?
My membership expired at YMCA.
Ive tried out fitxpress on commercial and 1st but didnt like the gym layout much.
use to go to Golds gym on gilmore, but didnt like theyre layout either.
been a member at fitness world before, but monthly fee were rapping me.
worked out and Bonsar by metrotown, but got kinda sick of the crowd.
been to sports central too, but their layout just sucked imo.
Im looking for a gym similar to YMCA thats decently sized, has enough mirrors around, clean, good change rooms/showers, and a nice older crowd.
any suggestions?
I might go check out Sparta??? somewhere along commerical. i heard it was alright there.
