not really, but you can't go wrong with PING bags, I've had my ping hoofer 2 for over 5 years and not only is it still in great shape but imho still one of the best looking bag out there today;)

I'm using an Ogio Ozone bag. Love it. Really light, looks decent, and it has the 3 ball carrier thing for when I need to grab another ball quickly when mine plunks in the water :P

m3thods 06-04-2009 08:27 AM

Just make sure you get a carry bag if you're walking, cart bag if you're hooking it to a cart. And if you're walking, weight can matter at the end of a sunny 18. But it's not that important.

mmmm Sun Mountain 3.5 Superlight :D but I can vouch for the Hoofers I bought one second hand so it must be like 8 years old and it's still in OK shape

Ah I'm just wondering bout the side pockets anyways. Other than balls and your gloves, what else do you use them for? Maybe a pen and paper to keep score?

Ball/gloves/tee's/scorecard/beer/jacket (in case it starts raining)/wallet/car keys

if i'm walking my bag would have the minimal amount of stuff inside it but i've been using my clicgear instead these days. Too lazy lol

ogio makes the best bag. they have the wood system for your clubs. feel sturdier too. more pockets too. pockets for your drinks, slots for your tees, zipperless pockets for your balls. go to golftown and have a look.

but in the end, the bag won't improve your game. its the last thing i look at buying when i'm golf shopping.

It's a long shot but I won 1 gift certificate to Whistler Golf Club (Includes 18 holes of golf including shared golf cart, complimentary practice balls and a $20 food credit that can towards any items from the menu) anyone interested in buying it or trade for any certificate for 2 here in surrey/vancouver?

Riverside sales it for 119.00 - Just ask any of the younger guys - They will beat Golf Town and discount on top of it.

Has anyone here driven up to play at Predator Ridge? I'm going back to Vancouver this summer and two of my golf buddies were thinking of driving up to do it.

cdizzle_996 06-16-2009 04:50 AM

I've played Predator. The Okanagan Valley is the place to go to play golf. Bring lots of money :D

achiam 06-16-2009 04:33 PM

I haven't been back to Vancouver in nearly a year, has the slowing economy driven down green fees?

Last year we played tobiano and the bear on our golf trip. Tobiano was awesome, we might try it again this year. Last year it was really windy when we played it.

We were thinking of going to the Kelowna/Kamloops area again this year. Anyone have any recommendations on a nice course that we should try. We go up on Friday and come back on Sunday. We play golf on Saturday and Sunday.

In the Kamloops area, Talking Rock, Sun Rivers, The Dunes, and Tobiano make a great golf trip. A lot of people that go to Kamloops play those 4 courses because they are all fairly unique and they're all pretty different from eachother.

In Kelowna, Black Mountain (brand new) has been getting good reviews, Kelowna Springs, Tower Ranch, and Gallagher's Canyon are all popular as well. And of Course the Bear and the Quail.

achiam 06-17-2009 08:21 AM

Wow that sounds like quite an exciting trip! And Kamloops is somewhat closer than Predator Ridge right (its closer to Vernon I'm thinking?)

411ken 06-18-2009 07:55 AM

Any of you guys ever buy a club from ebay or anything online? from ebay, just wondering if you will have to worry about duty, custom/tax or whatever...
