yea that's a heavy price even at the $350 option just for a round and dinner...and it's a scramble so you don't even realllllly play golf! lol

It's actually a shamble, not a scramble.

Just DJ being DJ. Sucks to see Day running on empty on the final round though. Props to him for toughing it out.

The elevation change on that course is fucked lol

A friend and I are playing morgan Creek tmrw morning. We plan on walking it, should we consider a power cart or is it a comfortable course to walk.

Jmac 06-24-2015 08:56 PM

I just had the most baffling round of my life.

2 birdies
8 pars
3 bogeys
3 doubles
1 triple
1 quad

No penalty strokes
No 3-putts

1-putted the birdies and all but one of the bogey+ holes (2-putted for a double). 2-putted every par.

It was like I completely forgot how to play golf on 8/18 holes until I got onto the green.

27 putts, 10 GIRs and I still shoot an 85. :okay:

I found it walkable without any issues whatsoever. Then again, I prefer to walk and carry my own bag.

On the other hand, playing Bandon Dunes in Oregon with a caddy was a worth it. Especially when your ball gets in the fescue since they were able to spot them easily.

Late to the party, but for future, Morgan is definitely walkable.

I bought a Clicgear 3.5 last season - great investment IMO. The amount of times I've chosen to walk now vs. rent a cart, it has easily paid for itself.

TjAlmeida 06-25-2015 08:35 PM

Thanks for the replies. We ended up walking, also running a clicgear. Couldn't walk without it.

Had a decent round, 98. A touch higher then my usual mid to low 90's. Fell apart on the back, but that's OK. Really need to get some consistency going in my game.

$65 early bird during the week is pretty reasonable considering the condition of course, will definitely go back.

Anyone else here shoot mid to low 90's on here looking for an extra player throw me a PM.

Suffered heat stroke on Monday en route to a 97. Finished up nicely with a 2-putt birdie on the Par 5 18th, at least. I had a couple of holes (shortly after vomiting) where I was just so out of it; ended up taking a 10 and an 8 consecutively. Was definitely a day where I should've rented a power cart.

Lost about a half-dozen balls that day, so I needed to pick up some more. Switched to the Bridgestone E6 (from Bridgestone B330) and was pretty happy with them today. Not as much bite on the greens as the B330, but it seemed like it was impossible to miss the fairways off the tee and I was about a club longer on my approach shots (which messed me up the first few holes as I overshot the greens). Ended up shooting an 85, my lowest score of the year.

I'll probably grab a sleeve of B330s for the Par 3s for that extra grip, but I was very happy with the E6s for everything except my wedges.

Posted a 91 at Morgan Creek yesterday including 5 lost balls. Even if I had of avoided my two 3 putts coulda have been 89.

Definitely happy to be in a cart. Would have died in yesterday's heat.

I used E6's for two years, exclusively. Everything you said is bang on, but wanted better around the greens. I concentrated on hitting the ball better, mostly off the tees with a premium ball.

Best place to start taking golf lessons? Looking for semi-private (a friend and myself), both beginners who have been going to the driving range every other day to practice our swings. Never played a hole of golf and only had some training tips from YouTube.

Thanks.

I dunno this one is pretty good.

Berz out.

Berzerker 07-10-2015 02:38 PM

Swung clubs for the first time in about 10 years last week. Went to the local par 3. Ended up shooting a 3 over with all my Bogies coming on the first 3 holes. Took me 3 holes to find my range and get used to the rental clubs. Best shot was a 210yd 3iron I dropped 6 feet from the pin. Might have to get back into golf again. lol

Berz out.

@ 30 seconds: Why the hell is that guy wearing oven mitts?

bcuzracecarz 07-17-2015 08:19 PM

Headed out to the canal at Northview the other day, course was surprisingly green for the lack of rain we've got, greens were mint. Struggled putting and driver was a little off the mark but still managed 6 birdies ....with 6 bogeys to match. Must. Practice. More.

punkwax 07-18-2015 06:32 PM

86 at Hazelmere today... took 5.5 hours though :fuuuuu:

bcuzracecarz 07-20-2015 12:06 PM

Ledgeview yesterday, fuck it's firm and fast there, greens are like concrete but roll great. 69 for me :ifyouknow:
