I'm currently using the superstroke flatso ultra. I think it's a bit too wide for my liking but don't feel like paying to switch it

Isn't Langer still using his cheater putter?

Yeah, i believe he is back to his "non-anchored" putting style where he claims he lifts it half a cm off his chest or something.

I'm planning on going to Blaine or somewhere across the border to play a round this weekend. Shipped a few t-shirts there so might as well get a round of golf in. For those that crossed the border for golf, does the CBSA ever hassle you for bringing your clubs and gear back across? Anything I should know?

TurboTalon 06-06-2016 09:51 AM

Crossed to play Homestead a few months back, had no issues. Obviously don't bring beer down, and just stop at a gas station once down there.

bcuzracecarz 06-06-2016 05:49 PM

Nah they never give you a hard time. Usually just ask where you're playing and say have a good round, never once have been questioned or brought in golfing

Played Belmont today, greens are fantastic, watering the ever loving shit out of it, standing puddles in some spots, which is good I guess in the long term. Hit the ball well, missed a few too many inside 10 feet that really pissed me off lol but otherwise a solid round, 68 :)

zetazeta 06-06-2016 09:02 PM

Wow 68!

I'm planning on playing at Loomis Trail on Sunday if the weather holds up. They have a pretty good promotion going on for both courses.. $40 after 4pm.

I've never had a problem with CBSA bringing clubs back over, but technically you're supposed to go into the CBSA before you cross into the USA and get a Canadian declaration for your clubs.

But, they likely won't hassle you.

Just read up on that... apparently they have individual tags that they put onto each club?! I'm probably gonna skip it since it sounds like such a pain in the ass...

Hope they don't hassle me on the way back =/

8. Certain articles, such as golf clubs, skis, and musical instruments, may not have a serial number to make the goods uniquely identifiable. In such cases, the CBSA will offer the individual the option of affixing a BSF407-1 (formerly Y38-1), Label for Identification of Articles for Temporary Exportation, to the article for identification purposes. The individual may attach the BSF407-1 label to the article in an inconspicuous place so as not to detract from the article's appearance. Once attached, the label cannot be removed without its destruction.

Just bought a brand new iron set, the WILSON STAFF D-100 ES 4H-6H, 7-PW, GW Combo Iron Set with Steel Shaft for under $300 from GT, not bad lol

bcuzracecarz 06-07-2016 04:45 PM

They won't bring you in and question you on your clubs...you're overthinking it way too much lol

How ya liking that stat system so far?

I actually bought it to work with my android smart watch, but I found out it won't do that for quite some time(they keep delaying the release of the software). the manager of marketing of GG in San Francisco actually phoned me at home to tell me this(long release delay) when he found out because he knew when it became public i would have a melt down on Twitter. I'm thinking of selling it if anybody wants to shoot me an offer for the Game Golf Live version.

Broke 100 for the first time at Fraserview last last weekend (98)! Started practicing with my 3 wood so I used that off the tee (used my 3 hybrid prior to that) and was hitting it great off the tee. Short game was horrible though... could've gotten sub 90 if it weren't for the 3 and 4 putts and duffed chips.

Played at Greenacres in Richmond yesterday and broke 100 again (95). Complete opposite of Fraserview... could not hit a straight drive off the teebox to save my life but my short game and putting was stellar.

Gonna work on my 3 wood and driver at the range over the next few weeks. Struggling with the swing plane and coming out to in.

RE: US Open... sucks to see Shane Lowry lose that lead he had. That's gonna be a tough one to swallow. Glad to see DJ redeem himself after last year's choke. And that USGA controversy... glad to see Rory, Spieth, Fowler and other players call them out on Twitter. Absolutely shitty thing to do

Played Blue Ocean (formerly Sechelt) GC yesterday, decent track, fairly slow greens BUT:

(no, I am not pro surfer Laird Hamilton)

Golf Boards are awesome! Only place I knew of in BC that had them was Nk'Mip up in Oliver/Osoyoos area and I was willing to make the trip to try one out. Had a meeting on the sunshine coast yesterday, was googling a place to play afterward and found them at Blue Ocean. If you get the opportunity, buck up and try one!

bcuzracecarz 06-23-2016 06:31 PM

Haha that's wicked!! So you gave it a shot eh?! How was it? Looks like a blast!

punkwax 06-23-2016 09:10 PM

Ya they were awesome. Highly recommend checking them out. We had a lot of fun with them and finished in less than 3.5 hours with a 12:20 tee time EleGiggle

They have them at Predator Ridge as well! I just put in a request to have two reserved when we play in July. Gonna be playing at Tobiano the day before.. super stoked for both courses!

N.V.M. 07-02-2016 11:37 AM

Well, since nobody here wanted my Gamegolf system for cheap, I gave it away and am now trying this. First round tomorrow morning!

punkwax 07-02-2016 12:28 PM

Anyone use Golftec before? They have a swing analysis on sale for $95 atm.. might check it out.

N.V.M. 07-02-2016 01:02 PM

Do you get your money back if you sign up for lessons?

punkwax 07-02-2016 04:17 PM
