Im selling my Titleist 917 D2 driver. Anybody want it?

N.V.M. 02-12-2017 11:51 AM

Good bye Titleist, hello Calloway

After the 460cc / adjustable weights and interchangeable shafts craze 10 yrs ago, I swear they've ran out of ideas to market drivers.

This club has a unique feature, and its not hype! Trust me, im the biggest driver slut out there.

Great pickup, hit one a couple weeks back, insane ballspeed, I've got the M1 but this is tempting considering the rest of my bag is Callaway

bcuzracecarz 03-06-2017 10:01 PM

This weather suuuuuuuckkkks, played pagoda and Morgan once each in the 2 days we had no snow. Which I almost wish I didn't do because now I have the bug and am dying to get out there!!!! Pagoda was in great shape for the time of year with the amount of snow we had. Morgan not so much

A 35 on the front today at Riverway, then came the rains but managed a 39 on the back. The Epic driver combo'd with the new TM ball is monster!

Will be hitting up the interior for a golf weekend trip next month. Pretty stoked! So far we have Tobiano, the Rise and maybe Gallagher's Canyon planned. Wanted to hit up Predator Ridge - Predator course but the prices are pretty damn expensive....

Any recommendations for a course in Kelowna to swap out Gallaghers? We're dead set on the first two and already booked but still deciding on the last course.

bcuzracecarz 03-13-2017 11:34 AM

Without a doubt play Tower Ranch in Kelowna. That course is unbelievable, same designer as Tobiano, I like it better though.

I'm a Taylormade ball guy too, have always loved the 5 piece tour ball they put out , haven't played the new one yet gonna have to grab a dozen

I doubt if you'll see much difference between the old and new TM's, but its miles better than ProV's. Thats all I've been using for years and am i kicking myself now.

got a bunch of new gear coming for the season, gonna get it packed and on the way to san francisco and my club guy to get all put together.

after how shitty the weather has been, lets hope the golf season is a long one....

Here's to hoping! Last year I already had a few rounds under my belt at this point, this yr... I barely managed to play 1 round and it doesn't look like I'll be able to play any in the next week or two!

N.V.M. 03-20-2017 04:31 AM

how sweet is it to go onto Twitter and order clubs from a rep? lol. too good. MackDaddys on the way!

First time playing tower ranch?

Once you played it once and know the course layout, the second time is much more enjoyable :)

punkwax 03-31-2017 12:22 PM

Talking Rock is a couple hours away from Tower Ranch but a good track to check out as well.

Yeah it was our first time at TR, loved the course layout and it was a really fun course to play. Conditions were also great considering it was pouring in the area two days before we arrived.

If anyone is heading to Vernon, don't bother with The Rise. It was a pretty shitty course and wasn't too cheap either. We only booked it because it was only a 5 min drive from where we were staying so it was convenient.

Tobiano conditions were excellent as usual, by far my favourite course thus far. Tower Ranch was great to play but the views weren't nearly as good as Tobiano and the conditions were slightly worse (but still excellent overall!).

We lucked out and didn't really get any rain throughout the long weekend. It did rain for 3 holes during our Saturday re-play round.

Gonna toftt and try out creston golf club on the way to Cranbrook tomorrow. I'll post pics when done our tee is at 848 lol

Won my hockey pool so treated myself to the new M2 irons. Love the sound and feel so far. Only hit the range and it was crazy windy so looking forward to testing them out on an actual course.

Stupid rain. Go away already.

N.V.M. 04-22-2017 06:32 AM

played Northlands yesterday. greens were meh. worse though was the 5 hour 10 minute round. just 10 minutes away from me and i can not like the place.

Played Northview canal yesterday. Course was surprisingly dry overall but there were some areas they couldn't mow that had 6" rough. Got caught in that which resulted in a triple bogey. Greens punched 2 weeks ago so not perfect and a little slow.

The round also took 5 hours but the group ahead of us was not very good and slowed everyone down.

I'm missing home right now seeing that pic, way the hell up in northern Alberta, woke up to a snowstorm this morning. Going to switch back to dynamic gold x100 shafts in my irons when I'm back, these project X shafts flight the ball too high for my liking
