the sales in there are just asshole.
how the F they can swear at customer.
I think his name is steven, a very tall chinese guy.
althought im chinese too, but he totally is a jerk | How long was the whole process? If the Salesman spent hours trying to finish the deal with you, then you left and not call back, I'd be abit choked too.
Are you sure he sweared? lol, he could get fired for that.

Their service dept is mediocre as well.

u can have your opinion, but a car is a car, i dont track it, so just daily commuting in a car that i like is enuff for me. Im sure every car out there drives fine, even a 10K Kia, b/c they have done enuff R&D to make it acceptable. | Every car will drive slightly different and that is the reason people test drive; to see if they actually like the way the car drives before they spend a ton of money on it. I wouldn't buy a pair of jeans without first trying them on. Nor would I buy a house without looking at it. The salesman's job is to try to sell the product and part of selling it is to have the customer try it out. If a stupid salesman made me sign papers before test driving I'd tell them to drop dead and go elsewhere.
You're not pathetic because you don't test drive cars. Thats a personal opinion but your belief in that salesmen are doing their customers a favor by letting the test drive is flawed. If it weren't for customers, those salesmen would be out of work.

Similarly, my experience at Middlegate honda several years ago while my parents bought their CR-V was like that, if not worse...
We emphasized when we made the deal and signed the paper that the car should have no less than 20km on it when delivered. The salesperson said yes that is absolutely fine because we get our cars brand new (we made him print out a copy with the special remark made on it). On delivery day, we got the car with a little over 80km on the clock. We asked the salesperson if it has been demoed maybe once or so. He refused to answer, instead on saying how in some cultures people like to have certain numbers... My parents asked again, and ensured him that they just want to know, and that they will take the car regardless. He still refused to answer and went on to saying that how his other Indian customer demanded 77km on their vehicle on delivery. MAJOR WTF FACTOR....
So we complained to the general manager and got some of the most genuine sincere apologies ever. Hell they even ripped off (took them off the frames etc..) all their dealership's posters and gave it to me when I asked for the S2k one...

Another sales was so rude to me and my friend so I was asking why he was doing that to us.
He retreat into a corner and said "go talk to the manager, go talk to the manager"
I said " what manager? Why shouldn't I be talking to you?"

Burrard Acura is under new ownership now and seems to have gotten better. not sure how the sales side is doing though as some of the salesmen are dicks and the turnover was quite high for a bit.
Pricing isn't that great at Burrard Acura. You can find a better deal at North Shore Acura or Lougheed Acura.
z3guy - the previous sales mgr was a guy named Michael Dignard...i believe he's gone after the owner change.

man too bad I'm new to this site and didn't notice this thread until now...I was unlucky enough to meet with this Steve Cheung dude and got treated the same way as the original poster.
I was there to look at the TLX and was ready to buy but he acted as if I was wasting his precious time when I was asking him about the different trim levels. He then, went back to his desk and started playing with his phone ! WTF and as I left, he's like "Ok call me when you are ready"
I then went elsewhere to buy the car.
The dealership is good because I know people who have bought there.
I guess Steve Cheung is the only bad apple of the store and ruins the reputation for the store...
the link below is also a complaint I found against him at Acura but it is only in Chinese so some fellow revsceners may not understand it Richmond Acura(? 1) - ???? - ????????? - Powered by Discuz! Archiver |

Mostly when new immigrants buy cars they don't really need to be "sold" them... if they like it they just ask for the most expensive trim.
Back at Audi I would see customers test drive A4s and A5s, but walk out with a S4/S5.
I guess when you don't really need to work for your sales, you get spoiled and forget that not every deal signs themselves...

There's a somewhat portly white skinned salesman who works at Richmond Acura who delivered pretty good service to my friend who bought a used car from them, guy seemed pretty knowledgeable as well. Not sure if he still works there.
Also went to Lougheed Acura with another friend to check out a 6 speed TSX. Exceptional service, but wouldn't budge much on the price

Nowadays, if a buyer's serious about buying, I'd assume they've at least done some sort of online research.

if i remember correctly, after I bought the car, I wanted to pick it up a day earlier. I made a comment about wether it was washed and his attitude was "my guys didn't have time to wash it because you wanted the car earlier!" and then walked away. I dunno it was after sales attitude I guess that bugged me. This was 5 years ago so I don't remember much about the sale anymore and I was quite naive at the time about buying a used car
