Don't buy from Richmond Acura

I was down there 2 weekends ago looking at the CSX, that stupid Honger Sales rep Steven Cheung came up to me and mom and started to sell the car and etc. I ask for a test drive he said if you can decide today I can let you test drive and I'm like WTf already , next thing we went for the test drive and he sucked up big time saying this car is this and that its good for young guys and family. After the test drive, we sat down and tried to nail down the numbers and after we couldn't come with the numbers of my 97 EL, he started to piss and started to make up comments about giving you the car for free or stand up if you can't or won't buy the car at that price. So afterwards, I told him I needed 5 mins to decide and after that I told him that I'll think about it and he started to throw stuff back to my like my drivers licence and my keys. I'm like WTF :2finger: .....10 years ago I went to richmond Acura to buy the EL and we got the same type of treatment...you know what

RICHMOND ACURA SUCKS! DONT GO THERE!

Roach 05-23-2007 09:32 PM

No need to use terms like "Hongers". Car salesmen are car salesmen. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and the mentality is usually the same.

Feel bad for you in regards to the treatment. Fortunately there is more then one Acura dealer in the lower mainland. Shop around, you will find someone worth dealing with.

However, this does raise the question: If they treated you like shit when you bought your EL, why go back there? Vote with your wallet and have some self-respect... take your business elsewhere.

Kev

if Mr Steven Cheung doesn't like you and your family, then why
don't you walk into another office and talk to another sales?

he doesn't want to do business with you, that's his problem. I
wouldn't generalize because he's a honger or it only happens in
Richmond Acura, cause there are many satisfied customers and I
am one of them

airwill 05-23-2007 09:50 PM

Volvo-brickster 05-23-2007 10:09 PM

lol
reminds me when i was looking for a used car last year
was at the dealership,
me = can i take it for a test drive?
salesguy = no.
me = why
salesguy = we only have 1
me = yea i know, its used, its not like i have a choice
salesguy = lets draw up a pre-sale agreement and you can drive it
me = i lowballed him right off the bat of $10k
salesguy = sticker is $29k
me = well i cant drive it, so to me its only worth $10k, i am not signing jack.

a lot of salesguys are total tards

That's what I did 10 years ago when I bought my Integra from them. I was in the week before and I talked to this salesman and was asking about options, and he kept say "velly expensive, velly expensive".

I was intent on buying an Integra so back I went the week after and chose a car, though this time I got another salesman to do it and the guy from last week recognized me.

Loved the look on his face :)

Richmond Acura started to grind on me to buy a CSX, my first and worst experience with the sales there.

Went to Burrard Acura and got treated like kings (well not literally)

airwill 05-24-2007 12:02 AM

Stupid sales rep from RA

Leopold Stotch 05-24-2007 12:12 AM

i'm not going to read it but yes

i dislike richmond acura very much.

Expresso 05-24-2007 12:34 AM

ahahahah yea that steven guy treats everyone like shit unless you are buying the car at his price. I think I get better service at BMW, and hes selling a fuggn acura.

airwill 05-24-2007 12:36 AM

i brought one for 35900, i get 1500 cash back for a loyal customer and -500 for delivery.

extra -.25 on lease/finance charge

LowTEC 05-24-2007 02:18 AM

BTW, the appropriate word should be "bought" :)

honduhman 05-24-2007 05:16 AM

When I looked at richmond acura for a car....

For one I was the only honkey ( I 'Spose opposite of honger)

2. Everyone that worked there seemed super racist(who thought a white boy would ever feel racism towards him)

3 The Prices for used vehicles were outrageous.... I may as well shopped local (not to mention the salesmen wouldn't move on them[probably cause I was white but hey]).... in fact I found my car privately in Kelowna.

I share the same grievences about richmond acura.

Steven Cheung use to work at Clarkdale VW and he was an ASS there too lol

68style 05-24-2007 05:50 AM

Man, I went in there ready to buy an EL back in late 1999/early 2000 adn I got the white-guy stonewall too. Completely ignored myself and my Dad, and when I tried to get a sales guy to help me he started answering some questions (although he looked like he would rather be dead than answer our questions) and then the phone rang in his office supe rfar away and he's like "Sorry, more important" and walked away. What a f__cking joke.

When I ended up buying a Celica later that same day and picked up the car, I went by there and pointed out to the sales manager I bought a car that day and his sales staff was shit and complained to Acura Canada as well. Never heard anything, naturally, but I felt better haha.

That dealership has been shit for at least 7+ years be it servicing cars (heard so many horror stories) or just outright service (or lack thereof).

Acura604 05-24-2007 09:26 AM

hehe, yah.. i went to richmond acura to purchase my first ever acura.. a 1999 acura 1.6El premium.. turns out they were asses indeed.. so i got it somewhere else. showed up there to make a point of it.. then pulled up with my 2002 rsx and showed up there to make a point of it (another lost sale).. then showed up with my black 2004 TSX and made a point of it.. then 'hinted' that i'd be interested in a CSX when i was there.. again, crap service.. so i got the 2006 CSX from burrard and again went there to make a point of it... now i've gotten back to the TSX.. and well, too damn tired to keep making a point that Richmond Acura sux .

k2_alpha 05-24-2007 10:25 AM

you can really piss him off if you just get up and walk over to another sales rep. he will lose a shit load of commusion. also, if you tell the new salesman how you were treated, hell probably treat you better and draw a complaint.

linlaomu 05-24-2007 12:31 PM

Dude, most Hongers does not have any sense of better business practice and ethics. Buy it from another sales guy.

Ikkaku 05-24-2007 01:07 PM

hahahaha same thing happened to us when we were looking for the 2000 1.6EL premium, we were ready to buy but one of the sales at richmond acura (don't know who it was) was a total ass so we ended up purchasing one at lougheed acura the day after
