buying car stuff in hk?

I know there's a bunch of you guys going to Hong Kong all the time. I was wondering where i can go get some used stuff in Hong Kong? Looking into getting a Spoon duckbill for my civic

A4 Tom 07-26-2007 12:15 PM

Go grab a Cazbuyer free @ used car automall or buy Option Fans, it got all the stores listed there.

Moo Man 07-26-2007 03:58 PM

Probably wouldn't be THAT much cheaper buying it from HK than here, if you have the hookups. Don't forget about the hassle you have to go through carrying that big box back here, and dealing with customs.. etc

MongKok District...

Then go to Hak Po Street...blocks and blocks of aftermarket shops/accessories/tuner shops.

Check out GP Sports, ask for Alan.
There's also Tom's Accessories, and other shops I can't remember.

Hak Po Street is where you will spend a good full day at...I did.

epic bump from the dead... I;m currently in HK...any updated suggestions as to where I should go to get general accessories? ie: air fresheners, cellphone holders etc...

TIA

asian_XL 06-11-2011 04:42 PM

nothing is cheap in HK.
go to taobao.com (chinese ebay) and you'll find everything you need.

Ex: Spoon CF spoiler for FIT ($100cdn)
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=6346078868

Spoon CF spoiler for Civic ($120cdn)
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10437481666

flagella 06-11-2011 05:13 PM

Those are spoon style so if you're looking for replicas go for them.

E-DA9 11-06-2011 12:15 AM

UP from the dead again.

Looking for GTI MK6 LED tailights...I've been told they can be had for as cheap as 3500-4000HKD.....anyone know where the hookups are for cheap cheap OEM parts?

death_blossom 11-06-2011 01:50 AM

you going to HK? I think most of the info was posted above. Mong Kok (lady street) area has general car accessories (think ricer shops), and car audio. if you wanna get into real tuning shops, you'll need to go to a few different areas of Kowloon as they're spread around. I heard Sai Kong is one of them.

if you wanna shop online, goto parts4euro.com

prelude_prince 11-06-2011 02:49 AM

another place to shop online for general and bolt on stuff is Supra GT in kowloon bay.

Super GT Ltd.
